Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Jones.
Rachel, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name is Rachel Jones and I got into this type of business because I wanted to stay connected to the public. I love people and the connections I make with them. I worked for Dairy Queen for 24 years and managed the location in Burleson Tx for more than half of those years. Customer service has always been a huge part of my personal success and I’ve always been genuine about it. So I figured I have made blizzards half my life why not snow cones! From there I purchased a little stand and I went to work one week at an acquaintances snow cone stand to learn the basics.
I started my first season April 1st of this year and decided I really enjoyed it! I have a standing location and a mobile unit. With being a mobile unit we do events locally and in the surrounding areas. So that’s when I upgraded to a larger trailer with my husband’s help. I have several employees that work and help when needed. My daughter, LaRaysha who is with me the majority of the time runs all of my networking platforms to keep the public aware of our products and when we are on the move! It has been a great season thus far.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a learning experience, from learning the business part of things and learning to drive the trailer! I can say that was the worst part for me! I have had a few mistakes but overall it has been getting better! Determination and prayer get us through it all.

Ice N Easy Shaved Ice LLC is a snow cone business that is focused on having smooth shaved ice soft and fluffy like snow while with awesome flavors. We are known for our signature flavors and our consumers love our name it’s pretty catchy. We developed multiple flavors that we personally created ourselves to be different. Top flavors from our Game of Thrones Collection, Mermaid and Unicorn for the younger crowd, the classic Root Beer Float and a big hit our Salty Lizard is very popular and a must-try! I truly believe that our customer service sets us apart, being friendly and being appreciative for everyone’s business and all help along this journey!
Being a small Black-Owned Business sets us apart as well. Black Girl Magic and Empowerment! I want the outlook for others to be if they have something they want to do go for it! The vision may be small but it can turn into something great!
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best things about living in the Dallas area are the venues and the food! Lots of fun to have and discover around the area! The least thing I hate about is TRAFFIC!
