India, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Be’s Professional Services started in 2010. My mom Bobbie was ill and she was getting worse. Little did I know in 2011 it would be that hardest year of my life. I took a pay cut to take care of my mom and family. I started working on my business and going to school to make the business work. I knew I had to find a career that would be flexible for me in-order to be able to make an income and support my family. I started going to school and learning the industry and researching. In the process of learning we found out in Jan. 2011 my mom would have six months to live. It all started on a weekend as my mom, grandmother and I was sitting at my mom’s home talking about how my mom used to pick cotton for her grandmother. That weekend she called me on a Sunday and said that she was not feeling well and she needed to go to the hospital. That Sunday we took her to the hospital and they keep her that night. After a week of going back and forth with doctors, they finally gave the news. The doctor told me that my mom had stage 4 liver cancer and she only had 6 months to live. I was so devastated and I put my business on hold because I had to take care of her and tell our family that the glue to our family was leaving us physically and moving spiritually to be with God. With me being the only girl this was by far the hardest thing that I had to do. After my mom moved to be with God, I went into a great depression and during all that I gave birth to a child she never had a chance to hold. As I went through the storm, God gave me another gift. I knew then that I would have to make my business work to support my family. Be’s Professional Services, LLC is a tribute to her and all that she stands for and how she loved, supported, encouraged, and helped so many people. That’s why our Motto is, What’s Important To You Is Important To Us! That’s how she lived life. Our company has been in business for five years and at our location for three and half years. We service all 50 states and we love what we do at Be’s.
Income Tax and Bookkeeping Consultant and Owner of Be’s Professional Services, LLC. India Roberts has over 10 years’ experience in the tax and mortgage industry and started her tax career in 2010 but had to put it on hold because of life challenges. Be’s Professional Services is dedicated to her mother Bobbie Elaine who she lost in 2011; she was a selfless person and loved serving people.
India is a philanthropist serving with the American Heart Association on programs that benefit women, volunteer in schools, churches, and was a key note speaker at a Dallas Housing Authority Event. She is the published author of,” Buzzing Around Tax Fax With Be’s” and a mother of three children including a puppy.
She is the founder of Be’s Empower H.E.R. which stands for Helping Everyone Realize that they can do and a have it all. The women’s group is designed to encourage, educate, and empower. Her goal is to encourage women with the message that they can do and have it all despite all of the different hats they have to wear.

Has it been a smooth road?
Being a business owner is not an easy task. I always say that your clients will teach you how to do business. One of my struggles in business would be under valuing my services and finding good team players. Another struggle in business would be am I making the right decision for the business.

At Be’s Professional Services, LLC we will thoroughly and effectively provide audit resolution, tax preparation, bookkeeping/accounting and tax planning that can help you minimize your future tax liability. We assist with negotiating past taxes situations and IRS letters received by clients.
We can help you proactively manage both your personal and your business tax issues, including understanding how upcoming business opportunities impact your tax status and vice versa. Not all tax planning opportunities are readily apparent. By having us on your team, you are more likely to benefit from those opportunities.
We understand how the latest federal, state and local tax legislation and other developments affect you and your business and we are constantly identifying new ways to reduce federal, state or local tax liabilities.

The quality and characteristics that contributed to my success is disclosure and being transparent. I understand that I am not perfect and I am grateful and thankful for each client that I have a chance to serve.
