Meet Jackie Abraham of Beat by Fae

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Abraham.

Jackie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always had a love for makeup since I was in Jr. High. By the time I made it to high school I was giving the teachers pointers on their eyeshadow. Makeup has been a part of my soul. It allows me to go to new heights with every face that I touch.

I was never professionally trained from a school, I just taught myself through the wonderful YouTube and a few celebrity makeup artist classes. I find it to be my true passion which allows me to bring joy to others by enhancing their beauty.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If you have not fallen on your journey, will never understand the power of real success.

With that being said, I have had my ups and downs in this industry, but how you bounce back is the true testimony. In this field, you can’t be perfect on every face, but I do my best to make sure that I can offer the client all that I have to give.

Every mistake is a teaching moment.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Beat by Fae – what should we know?
Beat by Fae has been on the grind and beating faces since 2014. I specialize in making people just simply feel good about themselves. I take so much pride in my work and always make sure I offer my clients my best.

Customer service is a HUGE part of what my makeup artistry is about. I take the time to hear what the client request and try to the best of my ability to make it happen. I offer one on one or group classes to teach you how to properly apply makeup for a daytime or evening look.

When I do have the opportunity to have full creative control, I love to think outside the box with lots of colors. I will create looks for any occasion. You can hire me for weddings, fashion shows, proms, tv/film, photo shoots, etc. You need me, and I am there if my calendar allows.

I have been truly blessed to have come into contact with so many different walks of life through this industry. It has open so many doors for me from allowing me to work with celebrities to blessing patients in the hospital with makeovers. All I need is a smile from the person that is sitting in my chair to let me know I am doing what God has put me on this earth to do.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Having a lot of patience, being clean, timely, and great customer service is what I find that is really important. Making sure you stay true to your word is super important because your word is all you have at the end of the day.

Most of my clients are through word of mouth, and that blows my mind when I think of how many people have sat in my chair to get their makeup done.
