Meet Jaime Burrow

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Burrow.

Jaime, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business in January 2016. I guess you could say it all began when I visited my Grandma’s hometown in Germany and purchased a nice camera for the trip. The rest is history! I started taking photos of friends and family and eventually grew large enough to really start charging and taking on other clients. I really found my niche within the last couple years, which is weddings, engagements and boudoir photography. All three are so rewarding to see the “final product”! Plus I get to make amazing friends along the journey 🙂

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been the smoothest road in the world. I would be lying if I said it has been easy. I work a full-time job as well putting in 40 hours a week, as well as running two photography businesses (the other being Coyote Queen Boudoir). I am constantly working, but it’s all been for the greater good! I’m putting my husband through chiropractic school. He graduates in December and I will finally get to do JUST what I love- photography!

Please tell us about Jaime Burrow Photography & Coyote Queen.
I started with Jaime Burrow Photography doing portraits and weddings. My business really became big when I had my first styled shoot featuring Whataburger and beautiful longhorns from a ranch in Llano, TX. Whataburger ended up featuring my shoot and my business boomed. I am so thankful for that! Especially because photography is such a saturated field to be in. Now I mainly try to focus on weddings and engagement sessions, throwing in a few other types of sessions as well (maternity and senior portraits). I LOVE going to new places so anytime someone asks if I’d be down for an elopement style wedding or session I’m in! What I believe sets me apart from others is that I am super down to earth and can make almost any situation fun. My clients always enjoy their time with me and vice versa 🙂

So Coyote Queen is another business that I recently started. I focus on only boudoir photography with this business. I absolutely love boudoir because I love to help empower women and show them their fierce and sexy side. Like I said above, my clients enjoy their time with me because I am their personal hyper girl for a few hours. I cheer them on the entire time and we have a blast!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I think I would’ve invested more in workshops and mentorships. I learned everything on my own and through YouTube, which turned out great! But I think I could’ve sped the process along by investing in learning and growth 🙂

Other than that, there’s nothing I really would change. I love where I’m at and what I have done for myself and my family!
