Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaleah Williams and Courtney Richards.
Jaleah and Courtney, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Courtney and I were new to the Dallas area in 2017 and planned regular family weekends where we would do fun things. We got an idea to try and make bath bombs for the first time and were excited about the outcome after experimenting with ingredients. Shortly after we provided swag bag inserts for a friend’s hair extension launch and soon after began to vend at local farmers and craft markets in Dallas and St. Louis in 2018. We recently celebrated two years in business and have over a dozen products that we sell via our website itzbombaesthetics.com and at vendor events. We hosted our first two sip and shop events this year in April and September. We also have our products in our first brick and mortar store, Golden Grocers Natural Foods, located in St. Louis, Missouri. We hosted our first pop-up shop in August 2019 and will host our next two in December 2019 and March 2020.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. We believe our barriers include access to our targeted customers, social media and advertising and time limitations due to our full-time lives that we lead. However, we are seeing steady growth and in our customer base and our reviews, especially for our body butter, is simply matchless.

We specialize in creating organically alluring body and life products. From foaming hand soap to beard balm for men to essential oil fragranced air freshener. We believe in organic ingredients and care tremendously about the products one uses as all of them are absorbed. Therefore, we take into careful consideration the ingredients we put in our products. We stand behind and use all of our products daily as do our families. Our products are more affordable, health-conscious options than our competitors. Finally, our crafting backgrounds have allowed for our newest innovation. We are currently in the process of expanding the Itzbomb Aesthetics brand and will introduce Itz Wrapz in Spring of 2020! What were you like growing up?
Personality-wise, I (Jaleah), was and still am outgoing and pretty particular about how things should be. (At least in my brain) Some may say, bossy. I was very engaged as a child. I liked to draw, bake from scratch, write poetry and sew. Pretty crafty, my peers would say. I guess it makes sense that I now am co-owner of a business where I make things.
(Courtney) I was a very energetic, easygoing, happy child with no care in the world! My parents made sure that I was always active and engaged. Whether it was playing billiards, washing cars, cleaning gutters and other tasks with my dad. Or taking dance class (ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop), sewing classes, knitting, crocheting or cooking with my mom. I also loved school and learning! I always wanted to be ahead of my classmates. During the summer, if I knew the math course would be multiplication for the next school year, my mother and I worked on multiplication all summer. That drive and determination to be ahead of the curve was instilled and exists today. That’s one of the many reasons I enjoy being an entrepreneur today!
