So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started to hear about medical cannabis and CBD constantly just like everyone else, and I became really interested in it. People were claiming these amazing benefits and how they were weening off other medications and were increasing quality of life. So I started researching it on my own and found that due to the federal restrictions on cannabis, there was this massive information gap. You would get a different story about cannabis depending on what website you went to or what article you read, and it almost always was grounded in more of an agenda rather than anything meaningful. So we decided to create a platform that allowed actual physicians and patients to share non-identifying (HIPAA Compliant) outcomes regarding medical cannabis treatment. It essentially allows medical professionals to release their own clinical trials.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As far as startups go, I really can’t complain about how our initial launch has gone. We technically released our platform in January 2019, and since then have updated and increased the amount of functions we offer. The key to our success is participation, so we have been incredibly active in getting feedback from our site users. Physicians are so busy, especially if they have an additional practice other than their medical marijuana clinic, so we saw a real opportunity to streamline their workflows. This is what leads to our free Electronic Medical Record service, online intake forms, scheduling and billing integrations that run in conjunction with treatment outcome reports. We went into this with the mindset that we need to get to market and then adapt to our clients, so I think that helped us overcome any initial pitfalls. We were always anticipating change.

We are a free online platform for medical professionals that focuses on all aspects of medical cannabis. We offer an Electronic Medical Record function, online forms, scheduling and billing integrations, educational components, patient engagement tools and treatment outcome data. A doctor currently recommending medical marijuana could use our platform to run their entire clinic essentially. We believe that the best patient outcomes are a result of communication between a medical professional and patient, especially with cannabinoid medicine. We enable doctors to get feedback from patients regarding their treatment in real time and that means better outcomes. This may seem like a common practice, but with insurance not currently picking up any medical marijuana treatment costs, it can be very expensive to seek treatment, so patients are sometimes forced to not see their doctor again until they are due for recertification. Our platform fosters that communication in the meantime, and also equips physicians with data regarding the efficacy of cannabis.
