Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Gerard.
Jamie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started The Write Invite in Los Angeles as a creative outlet and a way to earn some extra mad money. Two years after, I started we moved to Dallas. That was more than 25 years ago… amazing how time flies when you are having fun! I began with one line of stationery and have since grown to carry nearly fifty paper lines showcasing the best brands in the industry, as well as our own in-house custom creations.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Overall, the journey has been really fulfilling for all of the hard work we’ve put in. We’ve gone from selling just paper products like invitations, announcements, stationery, customized notepads, napkins, coasters, and cups to offering an array of gifts, jewelry, handbags, and the latest items in at-home entraining. My team and I are passionate about scouring the world to bring our clients unique items for the best possible prices.

I am beyond fortunate to be surrounded by a great group of ladies! They each have their own talents and together we work as a team to make The Write Invite the best place to design unique Wedding or Mitzvah invitations, holiday cards and or to buy the perfect gift. Even if that gift is just for you (something you just couldn’t live without)!
What sets us apart is our attention to detail, our customer service and the fact that we simply LOVE what we do! I am also very proud that we support women who want to work from home so that they can raise and be there for their children. They can take and pick them up from school and “be present” for them.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
