Today we’d like to introduce you to Janet and Chris Coble.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Janet and Chris. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Chris graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York. We have been private chefs since 1999. In 2014, we decided to open a storefront to meet the needs of our growing clientele. In January of 2015, we opened our doors to the public. When we opened, we quickly had to add staff. We now employee ten people and serve many more people than we ever expected.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
With any endeavor, there are bound to be hurdles. Luckily, ours have all been related to growing faster than expected. In the beginning, Chris and I were both working crazy hours to keep up with demand. We have been fortunate enough to find wonderful employees that have made our day to day easier to maintain.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Your Personal Chef – what should we know?
We are a gourmet-to-go food store. We prepare everything from scratch daily. Our menu changes on a daily basis. We take special orders and can customize to dietary needs. All of our meats arrive to us fresh never frozen, with the exception of fish. Frozen fish makes a better product, however, we only get wild caught, never farm raised. One thing that sets us apart is our amazing chefs. They can prepare anything and it is wonderful and fresh.

Our customers are amazing! We wouldn’t be here without them. We see some of our customers 3-4 times a week. We are forever grateful for their support. Chris comes from a family of entrepreneurs. They encouraged us to take a leap of faith and make it happen.
