Meet Jared Morris of JaredPierre Private Chef and Catering in Plano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Morris.

Jared, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Ever since I was a young kid I knew that I was going to be a chef. Growing up with both of my grandmothers known to be the family’s chefs, you would always find me with them in the kitchen during the holiday seasons. They both instilled in me the love they have for food and the ability to prepare dishes that please every palette.

I recently moved to the Dallas area August 2015. Started working for one company and was let go due to me traveling back home to Chicago to attend my Great-grandmothers funeral. Once I was fired I hurried and came up with my company only to put a few dollars in my pocket until I was able to secure a new job. Shortly after starting with the help of an app I was able to secure a few clients and JaredPierre was on its way. I soon found employment with another company and worked for a few months giving my all before being let go. At that time I had no clients and my car had stopped working and only had 9oo dollars to my name. With that being said, I had two options, pay my partial rent or move back to Chicago. With as much faith as I have and a friend speaking encouragement into me, I paid my rent and believed that a way will be made. Shortly After my car was replaced, clients started flowing like crazy and I am where I am today. I’ve Served Major Corporate Companies, Private Dinner Parties for CEO’s/Radio Personalities and a lot of other amazing people.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Has the road been smooth? Name any day in the kitchen flawless and I’ll show you a liar. Since I’ve only been here for two years securing a clientele base or really venturing out with products and events can be troublesome. And my car can’t stay clean no more than 2 weeks at a time due to all types of food stains that find their way onto my seats. (Lol)

JaredPierre Private Chef and Catering – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My Company is not just a company. It’s me, it’s a Brand! Jared Pierre Morris. Hence JaredPierre.

I Pride myself in two areas.

1) Not having a specialty. I specialize in everything so my clients aren’t put in a box when they inquire about my services and I don’t have a set menu. So when if you don’t see something on my sample menu that suits you, let me know and I will make it happen.

2) My Love, Heart and Joy for food separates me. A lot of companies have been watered down with the use of multiple chefs that alter many recipes and when you come to me I’m smaller and still have the capability to feed a party up to a few thousand people and still taste every bit of quality. We believe in Quality over Quantity.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is to me is completing every event with a smiling client. Money is great HOWEVER if my clients aren’t raving, if guest aren’t satisfied then I have not been successful.
