Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaron Robertson.
Jaron, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started rapping when I was 14 and high school middle school you know are coming from Fort Worth Texas my father was in the military hey my mom broke up later on in life you know when I was younger so I stayed with her for a while you know for work we had she had for boys went to school work hard she worked long hours until I got old enough to start working and then you know one day I just started hustling cuz I got tired of us struggling you know I just start doing kick doors and all that stuff and then you know later on as I graduated school and all that stuff I started doing more one thing led to another I got a lot of money you know over couple hundred thousand and you know things are taking a turn for the worse I started getting in and out of jail then I end up going to prison TDCJ 10 years I did 5 on it hey you know I got out in 2013 and finally started taking his rap music Sirius I’ve been on many radio station 97 on the beat K104 94.5 we just did the Kwanzaa fest with a Kwanzaa Fest we just did dub car show nice and on the beat 2019 and I’ve got plenty of projects since then projects like well worth the wait home come in self-driven 1/7 driven to and I just always going and staying focused you know like I said I’ve been a lot of situation like in that a jail I’ve been shot Michelle before butt shot in the back still walking Still Standing that’s why I take it serious that’s why I’m so energetic that’s why I’m so ready to work I’m so hungry for this is just you know that’s their fathers I met a lot of dudes are collaborating with a few dudes open up for Kevin Gates moneybagg yo Blac youngsta T-Pain a few orders but yeah that’s it in a nutshell man you know.
I’m just saying crying right now my new music I got a new mixtape I’m trying to drop some time self-driven 3 and it’s going to be it’s going to be something nice man I just don’t keep grinding do what I need to do man make this campaign strong and you know try to turn up four my city man cuz you know I come from the city where you know property and you know we come from nothing from the mud you know crabs in a barrel you know what I mean but somebody’s got to do something positive for the city so why not me and I think I can do it you know I know I can do it just need that opportunity but I’ve been doing well with some my mixtapes got a few of my mixtape you know 30,000 30013 / 13,000 30000 stream one of my well Worth the Wait mixtape is doing very well well well well well over 240,000 strange right now so it’s doing numbers and I’m appreciative and I’m just going to need to grind you know and make it happen I can’t wait can’t wait for the interview appreciate it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, wasn’t a smooth road it was a lot of challenges I had to go through and face but all in all man I lost a lot of friends not homeboys long away because then it’s share the same vision I had or the same goal you know that I have for myself because you know they thought something may happen overnight and all those kinds of things but you know I know you know patience and persistence is the best thing to have when you’re in a business like this as far as music was any kind of music country rock you know emo etcetra you know he’s got to stay persistent give good quality of videos etcetera and I believe I’ve done that so far just got to stay on it.
Please tell us about Paperboyent.
What I believe that was separate me from a lot of other companies being authentic and given knowledge you know the man cuz lot of companies been a lot of people man that say they down for you trying to help you out they really don’t want to get your knowledge you know maybe because they don’t want to give it to you or they feel like they changed they do give you the knowledge that you might leave them because of that but I feel like once you hit a certain level with somebody or people that you know Walmart with my specialization is what I do you know I’m the CEO of PayPal entertainment and I’m also one of the songwriters you know I’m also known treasurer and our all that good stuff I’m all the above but like I said when I came home and got everything all my paperwork so I am official you know but you know though we’ve done or I do.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Oh, that’s an easy one right there that’s very very easy. I wish I would have kept all that money. I have from hustling imported artist my music. I’m pretty sure I’ll be a millionaire over millions by now yeah for sure Asher lesson learned.
