Meet Jasmine Evans-Ragsdale of Kenzie’s Shades

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Evans-Ragsdale.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jasmine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The name of my business comes from our beautiful sleeping daughter, Makenzie. The story behind Kenzie’s Shades is mixed with a lot of emotions. Emotions that made me sometimes want to hide and then sometimes my emotions made me smile! One of Kenzie’s Shades’ goals is to continue to provide comfort and support no matter the occasion or the reason.

With my brand, I plan to bring more awareness to Pregnancy & Infant Loss, as well as, offer support to families who may be experiencing a loss of that nature. As the CEO of this brand, I plan to share my personal testimony in hopes that someone may be able to find their way. It doesn’t take much, and Kenzie’s Shades is here to lead the way!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My journey hasn’t always been smooth and everything hasn’t always been peaches and cream. Early on in my journey, a lot of opportunities passed me by due to not recognizing the importance of networking. Networking was a struggle for me because it meant I had to actively engage with complete strangers. To overcome this struggle, I start practicing at home, giving a brief synopsis about my company, as well as, I start attending more social events.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kenzie’s Shades LLC story. Tell us more about the business.
Kenzie’s Shades & Events LLC provides you with affordable accessories and networking events. As of right now, I am most proud of a past event I had in March. I was able to collaborate with business owners from Michigan, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

What sets Kenzie’s Shades apart from others is the passion possessed. Because the passion is genuine, each interaction is memorable.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
“No, I am not lucky, I am blessed, YES!” I wouldn’t say the role of luck has played a part in my business. Now I would say I have been blessed in certain situations. I could say I have been lucky enough to collaborate with the small business owners I have thus far.
