Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Levine.
Hi Jasmine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since I was a kid, I was drawn to the world of fashion and enjoyed helping others express themselves through clothing. I embarked on an 8-year-long journey in the fashion industry, starting as a sales associate at GUESS. There, I discovered my love for styling and connecting with clients. I went on to work as a sales team lead for retailers like AllSaints, LUSH, and Furla, and in my free time, I styled models for photoshoots. I later transitioned into becoming a stylist for companies like Nordstrom and Short Story and even interned for another local personal stylist in Dallas.
Shortly after, I decided it was time to be on my own. I now do personal styling full-time along with Youtube and am excited to see how my journey continues.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. Growing up in a different city and moving to Dallas, a completely unfamiliar place to me, presented many challenges. Initially, I struggled to find clients without knowing a lot of people here. However, I feel fortunate to have made amazing connections along the way who have been incredibly supportive of my dream to make sustainable fashion accessible to everyone. Their belief in me and willingness to recommend my services have been invaluable in establishing my reputation as a personal stylist here. These struggles have taught me the importance of building a strong, supportive community. Despite the obstacles, I am grateful for the growth and opportunities they have brought me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a sustainable personal stylist, YouTuber, co-owner of a photography studio, and co-host of the upcoming Go Slowly Podcast, my ultimate goal is to promote mindful living and to guide people in curating thoughtfully designed wardrobes they genuinely adore while advocating for self-love, kindness, and environmental consciousness. I offer a unique, slower approach to personal styling, which I believe sets me apart from other stylists in my field. I aim to help people consciously declutter their closets, maximize their wardrobes, and adopt a more intentional shopping mindset.
What brings me the greatest sense of pride in my work is the ability to help my clients perceive their wardrobe and fashion through a new lens. It’s not simply about making clothes look cute; it’s about a change in lifestyle and our attitude towards clothing. I strive to transform the way we think about fashion and its impact on both ourselves and our planet.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
To me, adaptability is a necessary trait to achieving success. In the face of unexpected circumstances, we need to know how to reassess our strategies and approaches in order to get better results. Showing flexibility in response to evolving situations is key as the needs of people the market are always changing.
