Meet Jasmine Williams and Sabrina Banks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Williams and Sabrina Banks.

Jasmine and Sabrina, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We met in college (shout out to LSU!) and between our love of sports, chicken wings, cocktails and Texas, we inevitably became best friends. We decided to live together in our last semester. With work and school, we hardly ever saw each other at our apartment but would always be sure to meet up at happy hour. While having sake bombs at one of our favorite sushi spots, we came up with the concept A Tipsy Bite. We decided to start the brand on Instagram and began posting casually, but this year we decided to bet on ourselves and do a relaunch that will take A Tipsy Bite beyond just an Instagram blog.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been as smooth as we thought it would be. Shortly after we started A Tipsy Bite, we both graduated from college, moved to two different states, and started our careers. With all of those factors, we found it difficult to dedicate the time that was necessary to grow A Tipsy Bite in the way that we wanted to. Other struggles that we have faced include living in a small town that didn’t have many restaurant/bar options to choose from and a lack of resources we felt we needed to properly brand ourselves. Lastly, we’re constantly on the learning curve to figure out trends, algorithms, and analytics.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
A Tipsy Bite is a brand that specializes in discovering restaurants, bars, happy hours, recipes and all things foodie! Sharing delicious food, drinks and lots of laughs with each other and loved ones is our favorite thing to do. We enjoy being able to share our experiences with others in hopes that we help them find something new to try. We’re known for turning up for sure, so we think our followers have grown to expect great cocktails, specials and the best bites from Dallas, Tampa and any place we travel to. We’re most proud of staying true to ourselves. We’re two fun, down-to-earth girls, and we try to translate that in our content. Having a dynamic duo behind a brand like this helps set us apart, and we think the name is pretty damn cool.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We love this question because we’re so excited about the future of A Tipsy Bite! We’re currently in the beginning stages of getting a logo, and next building a website where our content can live. We’ll also be getting some merchandise created that we think you all will love. Further down the line, we want to curate events for fellow foodies and friends. Our ultimate goal is to be in a position to help others and give back, whether it be through our events, or just popping a bottle with a stranger.
