Jay, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Ive been a graphics designer for about 20 years and I originally started out designing and printing business cards, banners, flyers, etc. About three years ago, I started making t-shirts using vinyl and a heat press. 6months into making T-shirts, my business vastly shifted from the print media side and the demand for T-shirt’s became my main focus and I had to quickly invest in Screen Printing Equipment, which is a way better product and to keep up with the demand of orders I was getting. What set me apart was the fact that I was a graphic designer 1st which allowed me to provide a quality design that the average screen printing shop couldn’t do.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Oh, it was rough at times, I had no experience in screen printing shirts. I had all this equipment and had no clue how to use it, so I spent many hours on YouTube University and took some hands-on classes.
Nevertheless, I made many mistakes and trying to keep up with the orders caused me to work late nights, but I was able to work through those issues and master the craft and I finally got to that happy smooth place.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We plan to expand our printing capabilities by adding an automated press which will allow us to print up to 600 shirts an hour, but that is the plan that’s a couple of years away.
