Jay, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
To make a long story short, It all started when I met my best friend Moe he was my partner at my old EMS job in New Jersey. Moe is from Egypt and knows everything there is to know about what he refers to as “shisha”, also known as a hookah or water pipe.
One day he asked if I knew what shisha was I, being of Puerto Rican descent had no idea nor had I ever heard of “shisha”, this baffled him and for the rest of that day, he insisted on educating me on what a hookah was and its function.
Fast forward a few months down the road I found myself smoking at a hookah lounge wishing I had a hookah lounge of my own. Suddenly, I thought to myself I could do this” I can create and own a business of my own. I felt like I needed to start small and slow since I had no idea on how to start a business. I did research on what it would take become a business owner, thus creating the business I have now. “Hookah Party Rental” and so the journey began…
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. At times I have thought to myself “I was really in over my head, this business stuff is not as easy as I thought”. I have rough times, this is a one-man business for the majority of the time it can really be difficult at times,
However, I find comfort in knowing that the goals I’ve set are being accomplished slowly but surely If you want something bad enough you will find a way to see light at the end of the tunnel.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Hookah Party Rental story. Tell us more about the business.
Hookah Party Rentals is the name of my business, We have knowledgeable tobacco specialists deliver the enchanting ambiance of our hookahs exotic wisps of smoke directly to YOU. Our hookah experts arrive on-site and set up our Egyptian style hookahs, instructing clients on how to smoke the water pipe and how to enjoy its delicious flavored tobacco.
What truly sets us apart from any hookah lounge is that we CATER to any family, business party function whether it be in the comfort of your home, backyard, pool party or even for your memorable wedding we are there to full fill a different experience that is grantee to impress your guest.
I am very proud and appreciative of the reviews and referrals we continue to receive from our clients. I really take into consideration any suggestion or opinions that will help me improve for future social events. If the clients are happy we are happier.
Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years? Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
What started out as just an idea while sitting in a hookah lounge has turned into Hookah Party Rental. I expect and hope to expand in the next 5-10 years into an actual hookah lounge. I have made it my mission and will continue to work towards it,
