Meet Jaydn Kristof

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaydn Kristof.

Jaydn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am 29 years old from Memphis, TN. I moved to Los Angeles, CA, when I was 18 to pursue my acting career, and find myself without the distractions of people telling me who I needed to be. I lived there for three years, and then I moved to Dallas, TX. I have been in Dallas for six years. I am also Fur-Dad to a loving rescue named Mr. Chow! You can check out his Instagram at @MrChowKristof.

I own a Photography/Videography company that I run full time, and started right here in the DFW in 2014! My work has been published overseas by Jacob Sumana, a super fitness ambassador. And it was published twice here in the DFW when I work with the national brand, Dia&Co. My company also volunteers it’s service once a year to a youth project of our choosing. That has been a standard since year one!

In 2018, I started my record label, Saucyland Records. I felt moved to start this label, despite feeling reluctant personally. Today, I will tell you that getting out of my own way and letting my higher power lead me has given me a passion that I have never felt. I write, produce, and engineer beats for all of my music, both charting studio music-wise and background soundtrack wise as well. In addition, I compose music for client’s projects, whether live or digital video and have provided voice-over work several times in the past. To add to that, six months into producing my own music, I received my first paid performance! I, The Sauce Daddy, performed on the main stage for two days at the 2018 DFW African Music Festival! A time I won’t ever forget!

Lastly, I host a YouTube called The Kristof Kronicles! This show is a direct inside look at some of the things I have had to overcome, some of the things I am trying to achieve, and what is happening now in the life of the self-titled “Creative Mogul” himself! I am currently shooting content for the relaunch of the show, so go add my channel today as I drop “Pre-sodes” leading up to the Season One Launch early 2021!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth? Ummm. About as smooth as a razor blade! Haha. There have definitely been many struggles that I have had to face, however like a razor blade. Those trials only sharpen my edge. Now I slice through problems with grace because I am a bit more mature, and I have been through quite a bit in my life. Starting a business while working in corporate America, during a time where starting a business was not a popular thing, was extremely difficult. Outside of the stress of everyday life tasks like the gym, meal prep, self-care, 8 hours or more on the clock, etc. there was the stress of those around you doubting you.

“People can be your greatest stepping stone or your biggest downfall. It’s all in who you deal with, but more importantly, how you deal with them.”

My biggest downfall, and something I still work on until this day, is stepping out of myself because people told me to do so. When you care about people, their opinions hold weight. But, some things you have to rely on your own self-judgment and intuition. Everyone is not privy to YOUR life’s plan. Sometimes you have to create the road and walk it before others join your path. That was my biggest lesson to date.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am in the business of entertaining and creating! I love putting together chaos and making it all make sense, transforming myself on camera, or on stage, to break past the prejudged stereotypes and make narrow minds see a wider picture. Those moments that send an electric spark through a consumer’s body when they experience something I am or have created. Those are a few of the moments I actually live for. They get me out of bed, motivate me to push past my own boundaries, and ultimately they help me live a more fulfilled life.

Being “The Creative Mogul,” I specialize in MANY different things! From shooting and editing videos and photos to directing them and writing scripts. From singing in the booth to creating the technical magic needed on the track. Entrepreneurial Coaching, Public Speaking, and much more! I am here to build myself and others, as inspiration is the foundation of each business that I own.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory was during the summertime when I would babysit my younger sister, Kiarra. My little sister had special needs as she was born prematurely at only six months. Although she faced complications, it never stopped her from enjoying a good time! And it really helped me grow up some because I wanted to be the best big brother I could be!

We both really loved music, and while mom was at work, our home became known in the neighborhood as “The Party House.” Haha. Not because people came over, but because around noon, I would pick out some of my favorite songs, get “all dressed up,” turn the music up to the max, and me and my sister would dance for hours in the house! I still dance in my home like that today!
