Meet Jayvon Johnson of OFP

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayvon Johnson.

Hi Jayvon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Always had a love for fashion growing up in Maryland. Certain clothes was a status standpoint and just made feel good when stepping outside. Honestly had a close friend who been had a clothing brand, and once he broke down the science to owning a clothing brand, and how it’s made. From screen printing to direct-to-garment, gsm count and etc he taught me how clothing was made, different process, and prices. In 2019 I started my clothing company was living in Delaware at the time. It was a slow pickup only got support from some people because of who I was and not the fashion. Strangers didn’t really appeal to it, and that’s what I needed. After things started getting back to normal late 2020 early 2021 after pandemic, I started gaining more momentum and a customer base in Delaware/ Maryland/ Philadelphia area. I moved to Houston did some pop-ups out there, and did two in ATL. The brand started getting a wider and more solid customers base. I recently started doing business in Dallas October 2022 at sneakercon where I had a booth. Made some Dallas connections and landed a spot at the 100GrandBoyz at 605 Singleton Blvd.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
NO very long road, have had multiple orders off clothing that doesn’t fit correct forcing me to have to sell to break even or even lose profit. I have had my warehouse catch fire before losing thousands of dollars in merchandise. Still, I keep pushing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
OFP is more than a clothing brand, it’s a lifestyle brand. OFP stands for many things including; only for profit, only for progression, only the family prospers, only for playas, and more. Kind of what you want OFP to mean to you. All in all, it is for the hustlers, bosses, and just people on the Grind and doing right by their people. We offer men’s and ladies wear and some kid T-shirts. Lot of the clothing has the bitcoin, dollar, yen, dollar, and pound symbol. Represents worldwide money. I have traveled the world and have been in cryptocurrency since 2015. I am a firm believer in it. My hustles, hunger, and creativity sets my brand away from others. I’m proud of how when I go into different cities, and nobody knows me or my brand and genially loves the message n quality of clothing.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
