Today we’d like to introduce you to Jefferson Davis.
Jefferson, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I originally wanted to be a Physical Therapist Assistant but after nine years of back and forth, I decided to hang up the dream. One night in 2018 me and my wife took one of our night drives down University in Fort Worth and my wife thought of an idea. We drove past a storefront and we always noticed how dirty the windows always were. She said, “why don’t you start a window cleaning business?” At first, I was unsure but I thought I’d give it a shot because I had nothing to lose. Over a year later I have over 50 clients and still growing.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was fairly smooth. I had went to Camp Bowie, Downtown Fort Worth, just about any place that had windows I went inside and asked.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Davis Glass Cleaning Company story. Tell us more about the business.
My company is a window cleaning business. I mostly do commercial work and occasionally some residential homes. I appreciate serving others and bringing something to the table that most owners don’t necessarily think about until I bring it to their attention. I’m proud that I started with nothing and turned it into something. I know what it means to own a business because I come from a family of entrepreneurs and I enjoy working with my clients which I know sets me apart from others.
