Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenèe Salako
Hi Jenèe, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began dancing at the age of six, and it quickly became a lifelong passion. As I grew older, I had the opportunity to collaborate with various dance studios and community teams, teaching a range of dance styles. After moving to Texas, I fell in love, started a family, and life was going well. But everything changed when my husband passed away unexpectedly. In the face of that loss, I made a vow to myself: I would not leave this world without giving everything I had to offer. That’s when Dance LYFE, a dance consulting company, was born.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There were moments when growing the studio side of business and building new partnerships felt challenging, but every time, God provided just enough to keep me going. With His guidance, I was able to push through the obstacles and reach new heights.
We’ve been impressed with Dance LYFE LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Dance LYFE is a dance consultant company that also operates its own studio. We provide dance training, performance, and consultancy. Our mission is to help individuals and teams elevate their existing dance practices to the next level. We specialize in refining and enhancing what’s already been established, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to unlock greater potential in every dancer and performance. Whether you’re looking to expand your skills, improve your techniques, or elevate your team’s choreography, we’re here to guide and support you on your journey to success.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Taking risks is an essential part of growth, especially when it comes to pursuing personal or professional goals. Sometimes, the path forward might not be clear, and there’s no guarantee of immediate success. It’s important to acknowledge that not everything will always go according to plan, and there will be moments of uncertainty. However, it’s through these moments of risk that valuable lessons are learned. The risks you take might not always lead to immediate rewards, but they will either teach you something crucial or push you to a higher level of understanding or achievement. Trusting in the process, even when the outcome is uncertain, is key to moving forward and evolving.
