Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenice Reyes.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my career in corporate America, but little did I know that my personal journey as a mom of 5 children, one being an autistic child, would change my path. After over 20 years in the corporate world, I took a leap of faith and opened my first ABA therapy center in Coppell, TX — Success on the Spectrum. My background in business gave me the acumen and leadership skills to build a strong, efficient practice, while my personal experience as a parent helped me shape an environment that is compassionate, supportive, and family-focused.
After seeing the incredible impact we were able to make in Coppell, I expanded in 2024 by purchasing the Houston location of Success on the Spectrum Medical Center. Now, as both a business owner and a mom, I’m proud to combine my professional expertise with my personal passion to ensure every child who walks through our doors receives the support, hope, and opportunities they deserve.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy road. I’m a mom of five — with my youngest being triplets — so juggling work and home life has always been a challenge. Being a full-time mom while working full time required a tremendous amount of discipline, organization, and, just as importantly, the ability to give myself some grace along the way.
That experience taught me how to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly, and stay focused on what truly matters — all skills that have been invaluable as I transitioned into owning and managing multiple businesses. Balancing the demands of running two ABA therapy centers is no small task, but being a mom has conditioned me to handle challenges with resilience and perspective.
At the end of the day, I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish and even more proud of the impact we’re making in the lives of children and their families every single day.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Success on the Spectrum Medical Center?
Success on the Spectrum is an ABA therapy center dedicated to serving children with autism and their families. We specialize in providing high-quality, individualized ABA therapy services that help children develop critical life, social, and communication skills.
What sets us apart is the combination of in-center clinical excellence, and compassionate care for our clients and their families. My background in corporate America taught me how to build and manage efficient, well-structured organizations, but my experience as a mom to an autistic child drives the heart of our mission. Every decision we make — from staff training to family support — is rooted in compassion and a deep understanding of what families need on this journey.
We’re known for creating an environment where children, and their families, feel safe, supported, and celebrated, and where families feel like true partners in the process. What I’m most proud of is our commitment to not just providing therapy, but building a community where families feel heard, empowered, and hopeful.
Our goal is simple: to give every child the tools and opportunities they need to reach their fullest potential, while providing families with the support and guidance they deserve along the way.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that grace and resilience go hand in hand. Transitioning from a 20-year corporate career to owning multiple ABA therapy centers while raising five children — including triplets — has taught me that you can’t do everything perfectly, and that’s okay.
I’ve learned to give myself grace during the tough moments and to focus on progress over perfection. That mindset has not only helped me balance the demands of motherhood and business ownership but also shaped the way I lead my teams and support the families we serve.
One lesson, in particular, that I live by and communicate to my employees is: “Always do the right thing, even if it’s hard.” Whether it’s making a tough business decision, advocating for a child, or supporting a family in crisis, I believe integrity is what truly sustains long-term success and builds trust with the families we serve.
Resilience, patience, and compassion — both for myself and others — have been key to building a business that I’m proud of and to staying connected to my “why”: making a positive impact in the lives of autistic children and their families.
