Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer DeSantis.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I joined the military fresh out of high school with no college experience and fulfilled 2 tours, one tour was 4 years of Sea Duty and enabled me to see the world while Serving our Military, and the second was a shore rotation. After my time in service, I decided to try college and earn a degree, it wasn’t too long into this that I decided I needed to work with my hands to satisfy this creative desire within. This lead me to Lancaster School of Cosmetology and Aesthetics, where I met one of the most influential trainers in my life. Through her, I found in myself my current passion to help others achieve the best skin they’re in! This was back in 2008 and has been going strong since. I am always searching for the next best thing, continuing my education in the field, and staying current on the latest trends which has lead me to my current endeavor-Microblading DFW! After becoming certified as a Microblade Specialist and obtaining my tattoo license I quickly began microblading all of my friends, this took me by a storm and soon overwhelmed all of my time traveling the metroplex to perform my new skill on word of mouth clients. After several months of lugging around supplies to be a ‘traveling artist’, what I thought would be my dream job, I popped my head in the Phenix Salons in Colleyville and met Chelsea who became my now Property Manager. She showed me several different spaces that lit a new fire in me, I’d have to say it was love at first site when I saw the suite that is now the luxurious space I call Bella Beautique. The look and feel is everything I imagined it would be, I love being there and meeting my previous and new clients in a space that is both relaxing and beautiful. I am the type of person who enjoys a lasting relationship, whether professional or personal and I have clients who are both.
Has it been a smooth road?
Believe it or not it has been a smooth road, the creation of my studio came fast and furious so I think that helped. It didn’t allow much time for hiccups, I am not an extremely picky person when it comes to making choices so that became my Mantra when choosing the build out of my space. If it was meant to be, it will be easy. And so it was. The hardest part is being away from my children, bitter sweet and we are making the most of it!

At Bella Beautique, beauty is the priority. From the beginning of my time in the Beauty Industry, it has been progressively changing and I pride myself on staying abreast of the latest trends. I stand out by providing custom treatments for the individual, and maintaining a lasting relationship. Bella Beautique is currently known for Microblading so I would have to say this is what I currently specialize in, however, I offer an array of services including Micro-Needling and Acid Peels which are my next two favorite services to perform. They are game changers when looking to drastically change the appearance of your skin. I am most proud of the relationships I am able to maintain and the number of clients I have publicly made happy in accordance with reviews on yelp and Facebook.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I moved to DFW about 6 years ago, and although intimidating it truly is the land of opportunity! if I were to advise a young professional (and this is something I have contemplated, coming up in the next year or two) I would tell them to stay current and learn all there is to know about your field of interest, be the best you can be, and never give up pursuing your dream because here, in DFW, the Sky really is the limit. I would actually say there are no limits if there is no hesitation or giving up.
