Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Ingram.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have always had a passion and love to capture memories and make time standstill. In May of 2019, I became a first-time mother and my husband gifted me with my first camera to capture our son. I am thankful my husband encouraged me to start this hobby. The “hobby” I loved and enjoyed quickly became a business. My love for photography only grew. I knew God had placed this passion in me for a reason. My purpose was made clear and I wanted to give families memories they could keep for a lifetime but not be a financial burden. Purpose over profit has been my goal and my success. God placed a desire in my heart and for that, I am so thankful and grateful. I am thankful for my husband and my family for supporting my journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the start of my business, I had a lot to learn. There have been so many areas that I didn’t have knowledge of. I had to ask for help and had many mentors. I found a love for senior sessions along with family sessions by mentoring with some of the best in the business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
When I started, I had no idea what I wanted to specialize in. It became obvious to me after my first senior session and family session that I wanted to focus on that. I am proud that I am able to provide a service for families that they are proud of without causing a financial burden. I strive to be able to give families a stress-free experience. I want each session to be personable and fun. One of the things that I feels sets me apart are the same-day sneak peeks I offer. I know how excited families are when they take pictures at their session. I want them to know I am just as excited, so I make sure to post their session sneak peeks the same day’
