Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Polk.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
For much of my early adult life, I poured my time, energy, and passion into raising my family. I was a stay-at-home mom until my kids reached preschool age, and then I picked up various part-time and freelance jobs to help support the household. A career wasn’t something I focused on—I was fully devoted to my family.
Once my children were grown and more independent, I finally had the time and space to explore my own passions. That journey led me to a software company that truly prioritized people. It was a culture that believed in investing in its employees, and that made a lasting impact on me.
About halfway through my time there, I was offered the opportunity to work with a business coach. It was a transformative experience. For the first time, I realized just how often I had put myself last. Coaching helped me understand that by investing in myself, I could become a better version of me—not just for my own sake, but for everyone around me.
Not long after completing that coaching engagement, the founder of the company—alongside his own coach—envisioned bringing on an internal performance coach. They saw potential in me and offered to invest in my training. Inspired by the character Wendy from the show Billions, they wanted someone who could support the team’s growth from the inside out. I became that person.
Over the next five years, I had the privilege of guiding our entire team through a leadership development program. It was deeply rewarding to witness people step into their potential—communicating with more confidence, performing at higher levels, and leading with clarity.
As word spread about the work I was doing, people outside the company started asking, “Do you offer this to other organizations?” That question planted a seed. In January of 2024, I launched The Morph Coach, my own coaching practice dedicated to helping small and mid-sized businesses cultivate confident, values-aligned leaders.
The journey has been both humbling and energizing. I’ve continued to grow and evolve—right alongside my clients—and I have no regrets. Helping others transform while staying rooted in their purpose is exactly where I’m meant to be.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t been entirely smooth—and I wouldn’t expect it to be. Entrepreneurship comes with its own set of highs and lows. While I deeply value the flexibility it offers, I’ve also discovered that the income can be just as flexible—something I’ve learned to navigate with a sense of humor and perspective.
One of the biggest lessons has been around patience. Prospecting and business development often take time. The seeds I plant today may not bear fruit for several months, and that’s just part of the rhythm. Add to that a shifting economic landscape—new political leadership, global uncertainty, and rising caution among businesses—and it’s easy to see why companies are hesitant to invest in things that aren’t viewed as immediately essential.
Of course, I believe coaching is essential. But I also understand that until someone has experienced it, the value may not be fully apparent. That insight has helped me lead with empathy, education, and trust-building rather than pressure.
I’ll admit—selling doesn’t come naturally to me. I’m not the traditional “salesperson,” and I’ve had to grow through that discomfort. But I’ve found that my best clients have come through relationships and referrals. So, I focus my energy there—on connection, authenticity, and adding value wherever I can.
The challenges have been real, but I don’t see them as setbacks. They’re part of what’s shaping me into a stronger coach and business owner. And I know every struggle is also building resilience, deepening my empathy, and reminding me that I’m still in my own beautiful process of transformation.

What does success mean to you?
Success is living in alignment with your purpose—fully, passionately, and unapologetically. It’s not measured by status or achievement, but by the quiet contentment that comes from knowing who you are, why you’re here, and honoring that daily.
It’s the peace that comes from presence. The joy that flows from authenticity. And the courage to evolve, even when no one’s watching.
