Meet Jessica And Sarah Wright of A Girls World

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica And Sarah Wright.

Hi Jessica and Sarah , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A Girls World started from a friendship and a shared vision between my best friend and business partner, Sarah, and I. We’ve known each other since high school, and over the years we’ve grown through so many different seasons of life together. We’re both moms, both active-duty Army, and both women who understand what it feels like to constantly balance responsibilities, careers, family, and still try to make space for ourselves.

Our stories are different, but that’s part of what makes A Girls World so special. I became a mom young and grew into adulthood while navigating motherhood, the military, content creation, and eventually entrepreneurship. Sarah has also built a life centered around motherhood, and service, while being the kind of person who has always valued family. friendship, and showing up for the people around her.

A Girls World came from those shared experiences. We wanted to create something that felt bigger than activewear — a brand for women who do it all, but still deserve confidence, connection, fun, softness, and space to simply be themselves.

What started as an idea between two best friends has grown into a community built around movement, sisterhood, and real connection. Through our clothing, events, collaborations, and experiences, we’ve been able to bring women together who may have never crossed paths otherwise.

One of the most rewarding parts has been watching A Girls World become more than a brand. It has become a space where women support one another, build friendships, try new things, and feel seen.

We’re still growing, but the heart behind it has stayed the same: creating something that reminds women they can be strong, ambitious, soft, evolving, and still make room for themselves.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Building A Girls World while both being active-duty military, moms, and balancing our personal lives has required a lot of sacrifice, flexibility, and patience.

One of our biggest challenges has been learning how to grow a business while also learning as we go. From inventory and finances to marketing, production, events, and figuring out what our community truly wants, there have been plenty of lessons along the way.

We’ve also had to learn how to balance friendship and business. Sarah and I have been best friends for years, so protecting that friendship while building something together has always been important to us. We don’t always agree on everything, but we’ve learned how to communicate, lean into each other’s strengths, and remember why we started.

There have definitely been moments of doubt, setbacks, and things that didn’t go according to plan, but every challenge has helped shape A Girls World into what it is today. We’re proud that we’ve continued to evolve without losing the heart behind the brand.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about A Girls World?
A Girls World is an activewear and lifestyle brand built around confidence, community, and sisterhood. We create pieces that are made for real life — whether that’s working out, running errands, traveling, going to brunch, or simply wanting to feel good in what you’re wearing.

What sets us apart is that we’ve never wanted A Girls World to feel like just another clothing brand. The community behind it is just as important to us as the products. We create experiences that bring women together through fitness events, collaborations, brand trips, content creation, and spaces where genuine friendships can form.

We’re especially proud of the fact that the brand started from our own friendship and has now become a reason for other women to connect. Seeing people meet through A Girls World, support each other, and become friends has been one of the most rewarding parts of building the brand.

We want women to know that A Girls World is for the woman who do it all. You can be strong and soft, ambitious and fun, a mom, a professional, a creator, or still figuring out who you want to be. There is space for every version of you here.

More than anything, we want people to experience A Girls World and feel like they’re part of something — not just purchasing something.

How do you think about luck?
I definitely think luck has played a role, especially when it comes to timing, meeting the right people, and opportunities presenting themselves at the right moment. But I also believe a lot of what looks like luck from the outside is really the result of consistency, being willing to take chances, and continuing to show up even when you don’t know exactly how things will turn out.

For Sarah and I, some of our best opportunities with A Girls World have come from simply putting ourselves and the brand out there — reaching out, building relationships, collaborating, hosting events, and saying yes to things that felt aligned with us.

There have also been moments where things didn’t work out the way we wanted, but even those experiences usually taught us something or pushed us in a better direction. So I’d say luck has definitely been part of the journey, but preparation, persistence, and being open to opportunities have played an even bigger role.
