Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Berry.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As most new moms, after I delivered my daughter, I was enamored with her and wanted to capture every little facet of her and all the milestones as she grew. In doing that, I quickly found that what had started out as a hobby had turned into something more… a desire to become a professional newborn photographer. At that point, I craved learning how to become a photographer families sought out.

On my professional journey, I have had the pleasure of learning from some of the best photographers in the trade. I’ve learned that it’s not about “pointing and clicking” a camera; most anyone can do that. But rather, it’s the training, knowledge, and experience of posing and soothing a newborn that sets apart one photographer from another. While a parent’s ultimate goal is to have their little one’s beauty captured, it’s important they select a photographer that will keep their newborn completely safe and comfortable at all times.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life rarely goes as planned. I believe that life’s struggles lead you down a path of choices – choices to help you find your strengths and passions. If you had asked me 5 years ago if I saw myself as a successful entrepreneur, I would have to have said, no. However, ask me now and I am proud to say, yes!

Choosing this new career over the corporate world has allowed me to chase my dreams and create the life I want. Having been trained by some of the best, I have confidence in my abilities and talents. In order to be successful you have to fail (sometimes more than you’d like to admit), but I’ve learned from those bumps in the road how to be better at what I love to do. I am so excited for what is in store for my photography business.

I pride myself on creating masterful newborn and family portraiture, delivered directly to my clients as beautiful, heirloom-quality wall art canvases, framed and mounted prints, and unique products exclusively available through professional photographers only. Seeing parents’ expressions when they first view their newborn portraits is what makes it all worthwhile. My studio is centrally located in Frisco, Texas, with easy access across the greater North Texas area.

Lastly, I am honored that many of my customers have come to call me the “baby whisperer”. I am most proud that I get to create memories for families that will only grow in value over time. The beautiful images I’ve captured “today” will last well beyond “tomorrow”.

What were you like growing up?
I was a little shy and quiet growing up; a go-with-the-flow girl who absolutely LOVED horses, English riding, and being outdoors. I have always been a nature lover which is why I resonate with the organic and natural elements in my work. I also enjoyed hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. So, I guess you could say I enjoy a little adventure in my life as well.
