Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Bollinger.
Jessica, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a photographer here in North Texas! I am a Wife and Mother to three wonderful Boys, Wyatt, Garrett and Ian. (A little backstory here) I have been married to my Best Friend Seth, for 12 Years this July. Our first born, Wyatt, was diagnosed with Spina-Bifida before birth and we were told just after his birth that he would never walk. Wyatt is 7 and now walks with the help of his canes and he is our little miracle! I have been a stay at home Mom since Wyatt was born and I love Being a Mother to my Boys! With that, I have developed a passion for Photography! I had often told my husband in years past, that I want to capture every moment of them growing up as best I could. It is so easy these days with the development of New Technology but there is something to be said for Clear, Professional Pictures! It is not just a point and snap job! There is so much in the world of Editing and Professional Prints. I found this out the hard way when Me and my Husband were married. We were on a budget, (as a lot of young married couples are) and we prioritized our pictures towards the bottom of our budget sheet. With the thinking that, “pictures shouldn’t be that hard to capture, I mean technology has come so far” ……. Well a few hundred dollars later, we found that you definitely get what you pay for. Looking back, we would absolutely flip flop our budget priorities, with Photography being at the very top of the list!!! That is the one day that you cannot “do over”. Through that process, coupled with my passion for taking pictures of my growing boys, I took the leap of Faith to create “Jessica’s Images”. Starting long ago, I have grown and matured in the picture taking progress. I have found that it is so exciting to take pictures of Couples on their biggest day! But also, it is so enjoyable taking Family shots, whether it is an Expecting Mother, Senior Pictures or anything in between! Just to be able to capture that specific moment and for my clients to showcase that so proudly to the world is such a great feeling! I have been told I get this passion from my Dearly Departed Great Grandmother “Nana”. She always loved to capture her World through the eye of a lens. I like to think I did inherit this love of photography from her! I Love Weddings so much because I am able to be so detailed and, in some way, make their love story come to life! It has been said that “You can’t stop time” and while that may be true…. You can still “Freeze it for a moment, Frame it with Love and Cherish it for a Lifetime”.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road!! The world of photography is very competitive these days. I have learned not to compare myself so much with other photographers. I have my clients because they like my style and so I need to continue to grow in that and not try to be like another photographer. In the slow times of photography, I try to work on growing my business, through marketing, set new goals, and get inspired for new shoots. Being creative I think is important in the world of photography. I enjoy those slow times also because it allows me time with my children, so slow times are not always a bad thing to me. Take each day as it comes!
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Jessica’s Images story. Tell us more about the business.
I am most known for doing Wedding Photography. In my slow times of wedding photography, I will do Family, engagement, children, and senior shoots. I am most proud of my Wedding Photography! I love the opportunity to get to share in the biggest day of my clients lives. I feel what sets me apart from others would be the passion I have for photography and creating nothing but the best for my clients. My clients aren’t just a number these are friendships I gain and continue and I appreciate every one of them. I want them to be proud to share their images. I work so hard to create great quality for everyone.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Moving just east of the Metroplex has opened up new doors and new possibilities for me and my clients with more fun and different places to shoot. I love the country and I am enjoying my new area!!! I look forward to growing in this new area I am in.
