Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Brewer.
Hi Jessica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started out working alongside my parents, who ran their own construction business. I grew up in the office with them, learning the ropes from a young age. My mom taught me how to run a business, and my dad showed me the importance of hard work hustle, and grit. I was blessed to have such a great foundation, which helped me start my own real estate business.
As time went on, I teamed up with my uncle, who I’ve always been close to, and we worked on different real estate ventures together. That partnership eventually led us to finding the perfect building for what would become Artis Event Center, which is named after my grandmother, Artis . From there, it all fell into place, and we kicked off an exciting new chapter with the opening of our brand new venue.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building Artis from the ground up has definitely been a journey with its fair share of ups and downs—nothing’s ever a completely smooth road, right lol? But honestly, that’s what makes the journey so rewarding. Coming from my real estate background, this venture into the event industry has been a whole new ball game. Commercial construction alone was a massive learning curve—it’s a whole different world! But every challenge along the way, especially in a brand-new industry, has been an incredible opportunity to grow.
My real estate business didn’t require much interaction with the public. I could complete a project, sell it to one buyer, and move on—and the day-to-day oversight and management mostly rested on me. But with Artis, it’s all about service—serving clients, creating unforgettable experiences, and building a team that shares the same passion for serving others. It’s no longer just about what I can manage on my own, but about leading and growing alongside a team. That shift has definitely been a challenge, but an exciting one. One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been finding the right team members—people I genuinely trust, who care deeply about delivering exceptional service, and who I want to grow with as we work to uphold the standard of excellence our clients deserve.
Through it all, I’ve learned so much. Every challenge has pushed me to grow, and I welcome that because, at the end of the day, anything that stretches you makes you better, stronger, and wiser. So, while the road has had its bumps, I wouldn’t change a thing because its shapes something special.
We’ve been impressed with Artis Event Center, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Artis Event Center, we have three stunning spaces, including our outdoor oasis courtyard, perfect for any occasion. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop, offering everything you need for your event – from the beautiful venue and lodging to transportation and the glam touch that makes it all come together.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t just measured by financial wealth or material accomplishments. It’s deeply rooted in values. I think success is reflected in the strength of your relationships—with family and friends—where love, support, and trust can really thrive.
True success is having a strong relationship with God. It’s about using my position to help others, being kind, creating opportunities for people around me. It means not only being known for handling business with excellence but at the end of the day being known for leading with love, being a good person of good character —someone who inspires, uplifts, and leaves a lasting, positive impact on everyone around them.
