Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Espinoza.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
“Yeah, absolutely. I’m a real estate professional whose story is rooted in resilience, creativity, and a deep connection to people. A little backstory, I grew up in a very difficult environment — my family struggled financially, and eventually we lost our home. For a period of time, I didn’t have a stable place to stay. I was bouncing from friend’s house to friend’s house, doing whatever I could to get through. Even during those hard years, one thing that stayed constant for me was theater. I was heavily involved in theater from childhood all the way through my senior year. I fell in love with being on stage and it actually became my safe space. . It taught me confidence, communication, presence, teamwork, and how to genuinely connect with people. Those experiences shaped me into the people-person I am today and gave me skills I now use every day in real estate.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
“No, not at all. I’ve faced a lot of struggles. Mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually – everything. In my career and personally.
One of the biggest shifts in my life right now is that I’m slowly stepping away from real estate. It wasn’t an easy decision — real estate has been a huge part of my story for 5 Years and it taught me resilience, communication, and how to truly connect with people in a different way. But it also challenged me in ways that forced me to grow. There were times when the industry felt overwhelming. Deals fell through, income wasn’t consistent, and there were moments where I questioned whether I was still growing or just surviving. For a long time, I kept pushing through because I didn’t want to feel like I had ‘failed.’ But eventually, I realized something important:
outgrowing something is not the same as giving up.
Although I’m still doing Real Estate as a side hustle. I’m learning that it takes courage to recognize when a chapter has served you and when it’s time to create space for something new. I’ve been through enough in my life — from losing my home when I was young to rebuilding myself again and again — change can be uncomfortable, but it can also be powerful.”
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
“So, Right now, I’m in an exciting transition in my life and my career. After spending years in real estate and learning so much about people, the market and just the business in general- I’ve made the decision to go back to school to study communications and marketing.
I realized that I have a natural passion for connecting with others, telling stories, and helping people see their own potential — and communications allows me to bring all of that together. It’s also teaching me new skills that I can use in leadership, branding, and building meaningful relationships.
Along with that, I’ve developed a strong interest in public speaking. After everything I’ve overcome, I want to share my story in a way that helps others believe in themselves and push through their own challenges. I want to inspire people to unlock their potential the same way I had to unlock mine.
For the first time, I feel like I’m in a position where I’m growing intentionally. I’m learning how to lead, how to communicate at a higher level, and how to step into opportunities that align with who I’m becoming.
This new chapter is about growth, purpose, and using my voice — not just for myself, but to uplift others. Everything I’m doing now is helping me become a stronger communicator, a more confident leader, and someone who truly makes an impact.”
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
“I give the most credit to my mom. She uh, actually passed away a few years ago and Losing her as a young adult was tough – she has always been the person who guides me every single day. She went through so much, yet she never stopped fighting for us, and watching her strength shaped the foundation of who I am.
Her resilience, her love, and her belief in me are the reasons I push forward, stay grounded, stay humble and keep growing. Everything I’m becoming is possible because of the lessons she gave me.”
