Meet Jessica Fisher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Fisher.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have always wanted to encourage others with simple gestures, I am a certified medical assistant, so I would brain storm often and think to myself I would love to make women feel good. I first started looking up schools that offered make-up courses and came across Paul Mitchell the School of Dallas in 2016. Once I toured the school and spoke with the counselors, I knew I was on the right path. Making some one feel good about their physical appearance makes you feel good. So, the crazy part about it, I thought I really want to focus on make-up in my mind, when I found my love for eyelash extensions, and tabbing and applying lash strips. Once I started practicing on my classmates, family and friends the rest is history. Everyone loved how lashes made them feel, without having to wear a full face of make-up, they could get up and go. So, I started my own business website for eyelashes.

Please tell us about your art.
I create my own unique 3D luxury mink lashes. I have a vendor I personally work with, and I express the different styles of lashes for the everyday woman. I just want to be an inspiration to anyone who has an idea and drive to become their own boss/entrepreneur. What I want people to take away from my story is that, we all have dreams and aspiration. But they will only be dreams if we never try. Lashed by Jess is a 3D mink luxury lash company who caters to all occasions. We have lashes for the everyday corporate woman, party goer, and last but not least the woman that loves the elegant look.

Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
Given everything that’s going on in the world today I feel the role of artists has changed in the way that more artists have gotten more creative and looking at the world for inspiration. Which I feel aspires artists to change.

As artists of today we all see the world around us differently and issues in our community move us and aspire us to be great! And gives us freedom to be more expressive.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
