Meet Jessica Knoblock of Eight11 Place in Frisco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Knoblock.

4 Los Angeles natives moved to Frisco, Texas in search of THE hip local wine bar. They stumbled upon Eight-11 and would frequent as customers. They heard it was up for sale and felt the calling to take it over and make it their own. 2 years and countless awards later, eight11 has become a staple in the charming community of Downtown Frisco and is supported by an abundance of loyal customers

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The old pier and beam home that was built in the 20’s needs A LOT of love. Things constantly break, fall off and chip more often than not, but we stay right on top of it and make repairs and renovations as needed.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about eight11 place – what should we know?
Eight11 is a wine and craft cocktail bar/kitchen serving simple, casual menu items that are fresh and delicious. We offer live music, a kick ass patio which includes fire pit seating and guests never leave without roasting marshmallows and making their own s’mores.

I am one of the 4 owners. Myself, my husband and another couple (husband and wife) own and operate eight11. We are so proud of our hard working team who really take pride in our business to assure our guests leave with smiles on their faces. They really do provide an incredible experience and we know that goes a long way. We have no marking budget so we work solely off of referrals, word of mouth and social media.

I think what sets us apart is that when you come to eight11, you feel like you’re coming to a backyard party at one of our homes. It’s not stuffy. You don’t feel like you have to wear heels or wear a collared shirt. It’s a great and casual place to get together for a girls night, date night and even family night out with the kids! We as owners are extremely hands on and we work just as hard as anyone there. You’ll see us pouring drinks, running food, bussing tables and of course, chatting it up with our customers. We offer lunch specials under $10, Happy Hours M-Th including food and cocktails and Drink specials M-Th as well!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Honestly, we went into this blind without any prior restaurant experience. We’re self-taught and we’re learned it all along the way. It’s been trial and error but ultimately a huge success. Our friends and family have been huge supporters, some even flying in from Los Angeles to come see us! Our team and customers are the major players. The real reason we’ve had success.
