Jessica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, I started photography as a passion during my international travels. I visited roughly 17 countries, many of which were solo and I developed a passion for capturing moments around the world. Recently, I got married and the selected photographer charged $2000 and my experience was horrible. Not only did I relinquish $2000 for photos and a video, but after my wedding, it was difficult to get in contact with my photographer. I was devastated. I felt no one should have to experience service like that…
Instead of getting angry or frustrated, I thought it would be better to extend my photographer services to brides as well. Our team is not only trained on providing great images but also providing a great client experience. When you book our services for the day, we are there to help in any way possible.
From beginning to end, the Saga Media team is available. All clients are provided their selected photographer’s contact number to reach them at any time and we return all emails by end of the business. I believe it’s important to communicate with each and every client and to address all concerns…. because ultimately we are only as good as our last client experience!
Has it been a smooth road?
There haven’t been many obstacles that were too challenging. In the beginning, I was a team of one but since then we have developed into a team of marketers, editors, photographers, and videographers. During the process of creating Saga Media Photography, I have learned that patience is definitely a must in this industry. I have attended a lot of business courses on developing my team and expanding my business. I believe it’s important to never stop learning… the world is always changing.

Saga Media Photography is a company that specializes in Weddings, Portraits, Landscape, Corporate Events, and Fashion. We are mainly known for our wedding and engagement photos!
What sets us apart from others is our dedication to help our clients outside of just photography. We understand that planning an event and/or wedding can be somewhat chaotic and things are sometimes overlooked…. this is where the Saga Media team steps in to help as much as possible. Need one of our team members to run to the store during the ceremony, we’re glad to help. Need help setting up? We’re available to help at no additional charge.
When onsite, we have a dedicated member of our Saga Media team ready to help in any way possible. Our prices also set us apart of our competitors. Our video and photo packages are much lower than our competitors and we use this to our advantage. We also offer payment plans and low deposit options.
Lastly, I do not believe that there is any other photography in Dallas that offers free wedding services to couples getting married at the Justice of the Peace. As long as the date is available we will send a photographer out to capture your special moments. I feel that many people opt for smaller weddings to save money, there should be professional wedding photographers available to them as well.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I do feel that Dallas and/or Fort Worth is a great place for Photography companies. People are always getting married and many people are relocating to Dallas. I suggest offering #1 Service and let your skills sell themselves.
Clients really appreciate a great experience when hiring a company for services.
I would recommend someone who’s starting their own photography company to learn as much as possible from their competitors. Learn your competitors’ weaknesses… read reviews online from unhappy customers… this will provide a blueprint on areas you are able to excel in to make your clients happy and to hopefully gain new clients.
