Meet Jessica Wall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Wall.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jessica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My name is Jessica Wall and I started my journey nine years ago. Back in 2011, right out of high school, I knew I wanted to be in the beauty industry. From there, I attended a community college because “that’s what you’re supposed to do.” That lasted about a month and that is when I decided to do what I initially wanted to do, enroll myself in Esthetician school. I finished my 750 hours and graduated in six months. I then started a job at a spa doing facials. After about four years of working for someone, just to go through the motion, and being unhappy, I decided I wanted to go out on my own and do what I was passionate about, which was Brows & Pmu (permanent makeup).

I then got certified, microblading in the DFW area and then flew to Chicago to get trained in lip blushing by one of the best trainers in the US. I feel like I have chosen a career that gives me the freedom to be myself and create! I now have my own suite doing what I love and making people feel good!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it was the easiest going out on my own. The fear of going out and finding all new clientele was there. The anxiety of putting everything I had into my business just to hope it turned out successful, was always in the back of my mind, especially being in such a competitive industry. I opened up my first suite in Flower Mound, which was a complete failure. I worked six days a week, to go in and sit for hours, just for people not to show up. This was very discouraging & the thought of quitting and going back to work for someone else always went through my mind.

A year later, I decided to go out on a whim and take the chance and move my suite to Fort Worth. This was also terrifying, knowing that the same thing could happen to me again. But if you want it enough, it’s all about taking chances. I now have been in Fort Worth for a little over two years and it was the best decision that I ever made. I’ve been able to build my clientele through word of mouth and Instagram! I have the best clients and my business wouldn’t be where it is today without them.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am an Esthetician of 7+ years and a certified PMU artist. My top services are Microblading, Microshading and Lip Blushing. I would say Brows are my passion and what I’m known for. I love creating and giving people Brows, weather you overplucked in the 90’s or just obsessing over a celebrity eyebrows, I can solve your brow envy. With microblading, I use an extremely small blade to make tiny hair-like stokes, depositing pigment into the skin. This is a semi-permanent procedure and will last about two years. Lip Blushing is another popular service I offer, I mean, who doesn’t love full rosy color lips that last three years!

I also offer smaller services such as Browshaping and Brow Tinting. I believe what sets me apart from most artist’s out there is how authentic and real I am. I listen to what you want and never cut corners. I take my time and put everything I have into creating what you want.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe Honesty and Kindness is most important with what I do.
