Today we’d like to introduce you to Jill Russell.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jill. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been a licensed Realtor since 2006, although my story in Real Estate started when I was very young. My mom started Real Estate in the Chicago, IL area when I was in 1st grade. I spent many days as my mom’s sidekick, driving around getting house keys for her upcoming showings. Then after her showings, we would have to return the keys to all the real estate offices. I saw the transformation of the many real estate resources come to life; mapsco’s, key boxes, internet, MLS, farming turning into digital marketing and so much more. The MLS book came out every Tuesday and this was a big day for Realtors in the 80’s. Once my mom listed a house everything had to be ready for the MLS book.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Having my mom’s guidance early on was priceless! I have had struggles, but all in all, the stress is often temporary and changes from day to day.

I am a Realtor with Ebby Hallilday Realtors since 2006. Ebby is an incredible company to be a part of! We strive for education and staying on top of our client’s protection. I love being a resource for my clients. I am a natural helper and teacher, so I have such satisfaction finding buyers the perfect place for them as well as selling so the homeowners can move on to their next step. Ebby Halliday having a DISD school named after her, is a great accomplishment! Ebby Halliday Companies is also highly involved with United Way and I love the companies giving heart to our community!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My definition of success is happiness, health and wealth! My definition can have changed for me over the years, how you define happiness, health and wealth is personal to you!
