Today we’d like to introduce you to Jim Pisoni.
Jim, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am originally a mid-westerner with a bachelors in Computer Science now residing in the suburbs of Texas. I was formally commissioned and trained as a military officer and later worked 17 years for companies owned by Ross Perot.
Working for the Perot companies, I eventually moved my way up as Vice President of one of their subsidiary companies. All those years working within the organization eventually gave me the drive to become my own boss. The opportunity finally arrived in 2002, and I now own and operate several very successful businesses which also include two Palio’s Pizza Cafes in Frisco and Little Elm.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I ended up having to go to the hospital for major surgery the same week I took ownership of both Palio’s locations. So, in that aspect, you could say it started a bit bumpy when I acquired them. As far as struggles, as long as you know your goal and work to achieve it, it is all worth it.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Since 2001, Palio’s Pizza Café has been a community staple throughout the Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex. Each location is privately owned and family-operated, providing the commitment to excellence you have come to expect from the brand. When you dine with us, you will experience the highest-quality food and a dedication to customer satisfaction that is unparalleled.
Our food is made from scratch every day. We have a tangy tomato sauce made from the finest quality tomatoes and our special blend of herbs and spices. Our pizzas are covered with a generous portion of creamy, 100% Mozzarella cheese. Plus, we use fresh vegetables and meat toppings on every dish.
We deeply appreciate all the support and loyalty our customers have shown us over the past years and realize that without this continued support we would not be successful. We are always looking for any way to improve or create something new for our menu.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
We must never lose sight and the understanding that we are here to serve our customers and never the other way around. You do that by providing a quality product, in a quality atmosphere, surrounded by quality people.
