Meet Jimmie Turner of Turner Financial Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jimmie Turner.

Jimmie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I can honestly say, I am where I am by the grace of God.

My participation in football at the recreational, high school, collegiate & professional levels reinforced a discipline instilled by my parents and extended family and friends.

Working with integrity and treating people with respect extends an olive branch of indicating you want to do the right thing goes a long way.

All of the referrals we get are by word of mouth from our existing clients. No one wants to suggest a place or person they don’t feel comfortable in recommending… Protecting the privacy of our clients is of the highest importance. This has been our philosophy since starting the first business in 1985.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, not at all. Plenty of ups and downs. However, longevity has its rewards.

Every change, challenge and obstacle has served as a training ground to reinforce the foundation of living by life principles.

The early years were simply about needing to earn enough money to support a wife and 3 children.

Child #4 can along a few years later. After that, it was about the consistency of completing work and getting paid for your efforts. Completing the assignment and getting the payment did not always happen at the same time.

I would always ask my wife to give me 30 days to make things right. Those 30 day request has allowed us to build a marriage and family that just celebrated 32 years of commitment.

These experiences have given me a calming voice in resolving some of the business and financial issues of our clients.

We are a business and financial services company.

Our services include accounting, tax preparation and tax problem resolution, management and consulting.

The majority of our clients are small business owners from a variety of industries and professional individuals from a broad cross section of the workforce.

Our proudest moments are always when the abstract of a situation is recognized in completion and resolution of the problem.

This is why our clients have confidence in referring people to us. Our clients truly become part of the family. We discuss more than just business items.

The longevity of our working relationship spans marriages, divorces, deaths, children becoming adults, etc.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
People are always the corner stone of what is good and not so good about a place.

I have some exceptional and truly wonderful friends that live in the metroplex.

Opportunities are unlimited for business, a vast array of cultural and social settings and unlimited places for culinary delights round out the items I like best about the city

Traffic jams and inconsiderate drives are items I like least.
