Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodi and Bruce McShan.
Lee A. McShan and Velma McShan started McShan Florist on December 1, 1948 off of a state highway out in the growing neighborhood in East Dallas. As the neighborhood grew, McShan Florist grew with it and continued to serve the great Dallas area.
Bruce and Mike, Lee and Velma’s sons, worked in the family business and helped grow the flower shop and its Dallas presence. McShan Florist has served countless U.S. Presidents, rockstars, and other important events and continues to be there for people all over Dallas during their times of need.
Still family-owned and operated, Bruce and his daughter Jodi work together as the flower shop delivers to 9 counties each day, serving thousands of customers.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We grew with a growing neighborhood and have been through the ebbs and flows. It is great to be in a strong community who cares about its people and gives back to the city as a whole.
