Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodie Moore.

Jodie M is a Dallas based jewelry brand offering handcrafted designer jewelry. Jodie M designs combine surprising elements carefully curated from all over the world. A modern Southwestern influence lends itself to Jodie’s distinctive style, deemed Rustic Luxury. Her jewelry is crafted with sterling silver and genuine stones to achieve a casual, luxe feels that can’t help but make a statement.

Jodie has always had a passion for fashion. As a little girl, she accompanied her grandparents every year to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo where she donned elaborate, creative outfits each year for the event. This western influence has remained steadfast and we still see hints of it in her Rustic Luxury style. Jodie’s a natural stylist; she is quick to show you how to wear piece 4 different ways that would never occur to most people.

She met her artistic mentor in school. Her art teacher, Evelyn Siegel, owned a beautiful gallery in Fort Worth and taught Jodie various techniques and mediums in ceramics, textiles, printmaking, illustration and more. Jodie went on to earn an Art Communication degree from TCU in Fort Worth.

Her professional start as a jeweler and savvy businesswoman began when she attended a gun show and quickly realized there was very little there to interest someone who wasn’t into guns. So she initiated a new jewelry line called “Saturday Night Specials” and went to her next gun show as a vendor. She sold out during her first show and soon began accepting orders from boutiques across the nation.

After raising a family, she dipped back into the jewelry scene by selling custom pieces on Instagram and other social media and was quickly overwhelmed by the demand for her visionary jewelry.

Jodie has since teamed exclusively with Barse Jewelry, a design and manufacturing house with more than 30 years of industry experience. This partnership opened up access to a much larger world of genuine stones and unique sterling silver findings. And now with she can broaden her craft with the ability to create cast pieces through Barse’s team of in-house lapidaries and silversmiths.

Jodie is a very tactile person and designer, combining soft feathers or silk fabric with solid beads of smooth hematite or rough aquamarine. Combine a long lariat of sueded leather with a drusy slab but accent it with some sparkling stones; you then have a down to earth feel, but with an unexpected high-end appeal. Statement pieces that always appear to be one of a kind, special…enduring; this is her hallmark.

Nothing, because I wouldn’t have ended up where I am. Through mistakes and ups and downs, you’re learning.
