Meet Jonathan Taylor of TaylorMade Consulting Group in Mansfield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Taylor.

Jonathan Taylor, an Arlington native, graduated from James Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas in 1997. After high school, he attended Alabama State University (ASU), where he received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting in 2001. After working nine years as a financial analyst for SCIS Air Security and in fraud investigations for Rug Doctor, he wanted more. In 2006 Jonathan began his journey on video production and digital marketing. After becoming a certified cinematographer from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) Jonathan attended Google Academy to be a Certified Google Partner providing search engine optimization (SEO) to small, medium and large size businesses.

Has it been a smooth road?
No smooth ride at all. There were several pitfalls. Dealing with the death of my mother and caring for two nephews and a niece struggling with behavior issues. Customers not paying on time, bills due, time management, people wanting to negotiate my pricing, friends, and family wanting free work.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the TaylorMade Consulting Group, LLC story. Tell us more about the business.
Currently, Jonathan is the CEO and a managing member of TaylorMade Consulting Group, LLC, of Mansfield, Texas. Jonathan and his business partner (James Leggs, COO) are responsible for providing tools to small businesses to help them achieve their business objectives and goals. Some of the “tools” provided include search engine optimization, videography, digital marketing, website development, graphic design, and small business consulting. Jonathan takes pride in the services he provides to clients by meeting face-to-face to ensure that TaylorMade Consulting Group, LLC provides the personalized touch that big business cannot provide. It is important to note that in 2018, the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce nominated TaylorMade Consulting Group, LLC for its New Business of the Year Award.

Jonathan’s accomplishments also include a documentary titled Shelly Garrett A Theatrical Legend, which is soon to be released. Among his clientele is cake wars winning bakery Sinsational Cakes Bakery, Mansfield ISD, Womens’ Missionary Union of Texas and Arnold Transportation, just to name a few. He has also filmed gospel singers David and Tamela Mann, professional boxer Evander Holyfield, hall of famer Tim Brown, and Tommy Ford from Martin.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
As the internet continues to dominate more businesses will be forced to integrate google, yahoo, and bing into their business plan. The way shoppers shop is drastically changing. Take the automobile industry. Clients are facing millennials who are opting out of purchasing cars and relying on digital transportation companies like Uber and Lyft. So you basically have the largest people transportation company thats totally digital and does not own one car.

It’s like this in industry after industry. Then when you factor in that Google has 70% of the market, you begin to see the importance of making the digital shift. Its a game of keywords and we are certified by Google to get businesses on the first page of Google. Because if they are not on the first page they are irrelevant.
