Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordache Grant.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jordache. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Freeport Grand Bahama the Bahamas, and I left home when I was 18 to pursue a degree in music at the University of West Florida in Pensacola Florida.
After I graduated with my degree, I taught middle school Band and orchestra for five years. I moved to Dallas Texas in 2008 and had no idea that you could be a successful musician/producer until I connected with the music scene here in Dallas. Being here in Dallas has given me the opportunity to produce and coproduce on many records.
I’ve toured with artist like KEM, JOE, Tom Joyner cruise house band Natural Change where I’ve been fortunate to play for countless mainstream artists, Music director for Jon B and now music director for Paul Cauthen. And even with my busy music schedule, I’ve been in the band/orchestra director at Uplift North Hills Preparatory in Irving Texas for the last ten years.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve been fortunate to play for countless mainstream artists It has been a great ride these last 11 years here in Dallas. What I would encourage anybody just starting out in is to believe in your dream. Setbacks are not failures, you only fail if you stop.

I am a musician/producer and teacher — a multi-instrumentalist. I’m very proud to know that my teaching over the last 15 years has created wonderful musicians and others that are now Musicians/producers and teachers themselves.
One of my greatest accomplishments as a producer is that I’ve been given the opportunity to produce on records of many different genres. I’m not just known as a one genre musician.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I always encourage all of my musical buddies around the state and around the country to move to Dallas because this place is rich in musicianship.
