Meet Jordan Craig

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Craig.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jordan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I had started modeling and acting classes about four years ago with just a hobby in mind. I had never actually thought this would be the foundation of my newfound career. At the time I was still in High School trying to balance out school and this new hobby.

After completing a year of modeling and acting classes, I had to find an agency that was true to their word and was really interested in having me as a part of their team. I went to several castings, saw different sides of the modeling industry, and dealt with some pretty harsh companies. It wasn’t until I found my agency, Icon Studios Dallas before I knew I could really turn this hobby into a career. I switched to online school to make more time for my career and ended up graduating a year and a half early. The difference between the other Dallas agencies I met with was one thing, Icon Studios Dallas is a family above all else. We support each other, we love each other and we always strive to be on top, leaving no one behind.

This career has taken me down so many different paths so far and I’m so grateful for every part. I had the opportunity to be in several national commercials for companies including, ESPN, Coca Cola, and Whataburger. I walked in Miami Swim Week and New York Fashion Week for the first time in 2019. I made the cover of magazines with the help of amazing photographers. I had competed in a bikini contest and received the title of Miss Dallas Bikini 2019. I started modeling at car events and opening up to different sides of the industry. I’m so grateful for every single person that has gotten me where I am today. The ride has been amazing but it has only just started.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely wasn’t easy. People will tear you down along the way. I was criticized for my body, criticized for showing too much skin or not enough and been in really uncomfortable situations where I wasn’t treated professionally.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
It is important to make connections. Luckily, Dallas is a great place to do that. Everywhere you go, find a reason to get to know someone and make yourself known, you never know who you are going to meet. Most importantly, you have to stay true to yourself and true to your dream. Trust your gut and remember that, you deserve the world but you have to find it on your own.
