I’ve been in the men’s grooming industry for about ten years, working at several different locations throughout the years, but I wanted more for myself. I told my now husband in 2015. I wanted to open my own barbershop. I had what it takes to succeed in the industry. Excited to start the journey, we started from the ground up in September 2105. I had tons of doubters, being a female in the barbering world can be intimidating, but here we are five years in and thriving.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth ride?? Does everything always go as planned, I started with ZERO. No clients, no employees, just had my experience. Took lots of blood, sweat and tears to get where I’m at today, but it all been worth it. I’ v got an amazing team and some pretty amazing clients.
Please tell us about your business.
The Shop is a locally owned barbershop. We have that local feel, guys enjoy coming to see us. We’ve created that welcoming environment that keeps our guys coming back. We offer Classic Cuts, Razor or bald fades, facial waxing, beard trims and shaping, and the old fashion straight razor shaves.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Growth. The area we’re located in is BOOMING. With talks of opening #2 in the near future!!!
Pricing:
- Classic Cuts $25 includes, haircut, razor line up on the neck w/ hot lather, wash, and style
- Close Shave $30 includes hot towel, hot lather, shave, and cold clean up to close pores
- Beard Trims $10-$15 includes clipper clean up, pre-shave, hot towel, line up, and after shave care.
- Facial waxing $12-$15 eyebrow $12, ear $15, nose $15
- Charcoal Mask $15 clean out pores with mask, followed by after care facial.
