Meet Jordan Garrett of Jewell Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Garrett.

Hi Jordan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I acquired my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas in December of 2016. I then began my specialization certifications in the medical aesthetics field for an array of injectable skills, given bedside nursing was not my niche, which I soon discovered during my first clinical day at TWU. I fell in love with injectables from the moment I treated my first client. I have consistently dedicated the advancement of my career to continuing education by way of courses, certifications, seminars, conferences, and trainings, all relative to this industry. My main focus has been facial balancing with the incorporation of collagen/elastin stimulants and PDO lifting threads; I indeed love including hyaluronic acid fillers into clients’ treatment plans; however, my goal is to use this product as conservatively as possible so as to maintain my clients’ natural, non-static and refreshed appearances.

My daughter was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2, which is a main contributing factor as to why I decided to take the leap and venture out on my own with Jewell Aesthetics. I have more leeway in my schedule to spend time with her during these precious toddler years that happen so quickly; I never want to feel as though I didn’t provide the lifestyle I’ve always held myself accountable in creating for her. Remi also has a multitude of therapies that she attends several days a week, and am so grateful I have a work/life balance that allows for this as well!

I am here to be North Dallas’ chosen neighborhood injection specialist, with a skill set centered on not transforming your face but adding to one’s existing beauty. I’m not here to change the way you look but to offer subtle enhancements that leave you feeling as if you’re aging with elegance and grace. When clients receive treatments from me and/or their first-time consults, my goals are to fully educate you on the services you’re inquiring on, determine your goals and expectations, and to ensure you’re comfortable and 100 % onboard with your treatment plan.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has been anything but smooth. I have had to ensure I’ve utilized every resource at my disposal to maintain and improve my skill set. My main goal was that I didn’t want to just be another injector who decided to venture to the “other side” of nursing due to burn out from bedside nursing. I decided to jump straight into this field and made it a point to master injectables. For the first 4 years, I took on 4, sometimes 5 jobs, to ensure I had gained adequate experience and honed my craft. Juggling working 2 other jobs, running my own business, raising a child and family, and committing to completing my Nurse Practitioner degree and license have all been challenging.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
So, Jewell Aesthetics was named after my daughter, whose name is Remi Jewell. Jewell was the name of my maternal great-grandmother. I specialize in – not only injecting the face with an array of medical treatments – but ensuring clients’ features, angles and transitions are all maintained from a natural aesthetic point of view. What sets me apart is that I will tell a client “No” when I do not feel a specific treatment is appropriate or to their benefit; I also will not only fill your face, as this can leave one looking unnatural and animated. When I am your injectable provider, you will receive my scientific and artistic eye because after all, when considering the face, it’s not just one or the other. I specialize in facial balancing. Services that I offer are: PDO non-surgical thread lifts, neuorotoxins, exosomes, Emsculpt, non-surgical Radiesse BBL, lip enhancement, jawline definition, chin augmentation, under-eye and cheek filler, PRF hair restoration, Enlighten MD peel, Myer’s IM injections, and Kybella.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
So, I would classify myself as being risk averse; however, to get to where I am today, I indeed had to be accepting of embracing some risk. Anytime someone decides to venture out on their own in starting up a brand-new company, there is significant risk when considering the social, financial, physical, and mental repercussions that can ensue when committing to dedicating all your time, money, and resources to your chosen investment.
