Joseph Smith is an independent rap artist/entrepreneur from, (Oak Cliff) Dallas, TX. He graduated from Dallas Lincoln High School in 2006. He is a Husband and Father of three children. Joseph Smith founded Chase That Bag Entertainment LLC in September of 2019. Chase That Bag Entertainment LLC’s main focus is motivating individuals to be their best expression and empowering individuals to embrace financial freedom while creating generational wealth for their future generations. Joseph Smith has dropped 2 E.P.s in 2020, Chase That Bag 2 and Chase That Bag 3.
His lyrics are filled with motivational and educational avenues to financial stability. He also has Chase That Bag Apparel that can be found at chasethatbag.com along with links to the collections of Chase That Bag E.P. 1, 2 and 3. Joseph Smith has dealt with obstacles such as growing up without a mother or father and overcoming the criminal justice system. He was raised by his late grandmother, Janie Smith, who instilled in him the value of wisdom and hardwork. Joseph Smith practices reciprocity by sharing the wisdom and information he has acquired throughout his life with others. He uses his platforms to not only entertain but to educate others on overcoming the obstacles he has experienced.

Joseph Smith has dealt with obstacles such as growing up without a mother or father and overcoming the criminal justice system. He was raised by his late grandmother, Janie Smith, who instilled in him the value of wisdom and hardwork. Joseph’s mother wanted to abort but his grandmother offered to take guardianship. He also overcame two different probationary periods for a misdemeanour and felony ending in 2013. Since, Joseph Smith has shared his story with youth to help them negate the pitfalls he experienced.

Chase That Bag Entertainment LLC is an entertainment company where Joseph Smith is CEO and an Artist. He specializes not only in Music but also in Leadership, Leadership Development, Coaching Development, Sales, Customer Service, E-commerce and Online Marketing. Joseph Smith was a former Leader with Altice/Suddenlink for several years before leaving to pursue his passion fulltime of Entrepreneurship and Music. He has been able to utilize these skill sets to help others be successful and, ultimately, the best expression of one’s self.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Joseph Smith is not only continuing to release music through Chase That Bag Entertainment LLC but will also be introducing Chase That Bag as a non-profit organization. It is projected to launch by the end of 2020. The non-profits focus will be centered around inner-city youth. They will be aided and educated on starting their own business. The expectation is to create and launch their business before graduating. This will allow them to also take advantage of their networking opportunity within the school and start early in branding and building their business.
