Meet Joseph and Ebony Williams of Purpose Awaits in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph and Ebony Williams.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Joseph and Ebony. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Our journey began about seven years ago (in hindsight maybe even 15 years). Have you ever found yourself on a path in which in your heart, your gut even, you KNEW it was not for you? Well…that was us. We both attended college pursuing degrees we truly didn’t desire. We did all of the “things”. Nothing seemed to work. We would gain a little traction, only to be pulled back. We listened to those around us, only to have lackluster results.

Needless to say, we both got to a breaking point. We perceived there was more to life. Instinctively, we knew we were meant for more. We knew our lives were meant to be whole and abundant. So, we became contrarians. We stopped obtaining insight from those who reiterated our old narrative…and began to go against the grain. We walked alone…Was it easy? No. Has it been worth it? DEFINITELY.

We decided to no longer pursue the voices of others. We got still and waited. For what? We waited until our minds were decluttered of every lie and false belief and we could clearly hear God, our manufacturer, speak clearly.

Due to our experience, coupled with our training, we don’t do theory. We do how-to.

We got out of our comfort zones and took action. We packed our mid-size car and relocated to Dallas, TX. We followed through on the passions and dreams that were buried deep within us. This is what we love to do for our clients. Why? Because we know of no greater feeling than the feeling of being liberated from what no longer serves you. We did it for individuals BEFORE we even knew what to call it. It’s ALWAYS been within us.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth road…definitely not! Our initial move in September 2015 (because this is our second and last time having moved), we moved here not having any family or friends. We were totally out of our comfort zone. It was during this time that our initial business, Life on Purpose Today was born. We uploaded daily inspirational content as well as YouTube videos to inspire and uplift. Upon our third month of having relocated to Dallas, TX, Ebony’s father passing to cancer, coupled with dwindling finances and a surprise pregnancy, we decided to move back to our hometown of St. Louis, MO.

When we recall this time, it was turbulent. Yet, we consistently posted inspirational content daily. We poured out much even though we were the ones who truly needed to be poured into. At the time, we didn’t know it, but we coached individuals concerning life, purpose, and relationships. We loved being able to impart and empower those around us.

We lived in St. Louis for 9 months and in December 2106, we made the move back to Dallas yet again, but with a three-month-old. Here’s the thing, nothing changed regarding a support system. We, to this day, are unable to fully explain it, but we knew Dallas was meant to be home and that our life path was connected to this city.

Once we returned, we decided we would take coaching seriously and became certified to give high-level support and strategy to help individuals create the life and relationships they’ll love.

This is the third iteration of our original business, Life On Purpose Today, however, our journey has made it possible to create lasting impact and change in the lives of our clients.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Purpose Awaits story. Tell us more about the business.
Our primary distinction is that we are a husband and wife duo. We coach and strategize as a single unit.

We are a Certified Self-Discovery and Relationship Strategist Duo who love to help people live their best life. We are ultimately passionate about people development. We love to share our heart and teach others to learn how to live intentionally while overcoming obstacles. Why?!?! Because WE HAVE LIVED IT!

We help people who are stuck & buffering by using a Three-Part System to break old patterns to align with the Life & Relationship they most desire.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck…we don’t believe in luck. Luck is preparation meeting opportunity. We believe we have all been given set circumstances. Are there moments we wish turned out differently, of course! However, the real power comes in recognizing: 1. Life is either happening to you or for you. 2. We either go through life or grow through life. 3. We have the power to assign meaning to our lives. Our given narrative. This is where true magic lies.

We know, from our own lives, that once we decide to change our perspective and take ownership by putting forth the work that changes our mindsets and beliefs; a world of possibility opens.

This is the foundation of belief that has allowed us to persevere in life and business. It’s our secret sauce!
