Joshua, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got started about two years back, I was first shopping with a friend of mine and she was putting my orders together for my clothing brand Affiliated Apparel, spending an arm and leg to support not only my own brand but her business as well. Well, the money wasn’t coming as fast as the ideas, lol. Soni started to look into how I could go about making my own orders and started to invest in machines and materials of my own, as I began to work on my own orders, I attracted the likes of customers from first the quality of my designs and orders and then after successfully completing the orders in timely fashion, that started to bring more clientele and it snowballed from there.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not the smoothest road, as we all know with anything, there is trial and error, lol. I had to take a few L’s along the way with orders falling through, machine malfunctions, I’ve had a little taste of all the disappointments but I prefer to look at the L’s as lessons, not losses.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a T-shirt and other Apparel customization company from pants, dresses, aprons, bags, etc. I also create custom designs for customers, that’s one of the things I’m known for. Also, my pricing and turn around time. I get orders out same-day or within 48 hrs-72 hrs (in most cases), that is what really sets me apart cause I get a lot of last-minute orders and I mean very last minute and I still manage to get them completed with great quality, that also is what I’m known for. I’m most proud of the quality of work and customer service I provide, it definitely keeps the customers coming back for more.
What were you like growing up?
I have always been interested in creating and designing. I’m a very creative person and stay coming up with ideas. I like to view things through a creative lens, making nothing out of something I would say is my specialty, lol.
