Today we’d like to introduce you to Julian Leshnja.
Julian, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My brother and I took over a failing business in Lancaster TX in 2006. This was our first location. Within a couple of years with a lot of TLC and hardwork we turned the restaurant into a successful one. From there throughout the years up to today we opened 11 other locations 5 in northern Louisiana and 6 in DFW metroplex. Gallo Nero in Lower Greenville and Frisco locations included. Duncanville is my baby though.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The restaurant business is never a smooth road. Business is always up or down but what has made the road easier is being humble and consistent with our product and service to our customers.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Roma’s Italian Bistro story. Tell us more about the business.
Our kitchen is a classic New York Italian cuisine our homemade pastas and sauces and garlic rolls are to die for! And everyone of our dishes on the menu is cooked to order.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck has always been on our side with taking chances on investing into different cities and making the restaurants successful especially in the beginning to get customers in to try the food and service. Also, we have had luck to meet some of the people or landlords that we have rented from who have helped and mentored us throughout the journey, especially Monte Anderson my landlord in Duncanville.
