Today we’d like to introduce you to Kadarius Ross and Brandon Douglas.
Kadarius and Brandon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since the age of 18, I always believed that I was destined to be an entrepreneur. I’ve always wanted to have my own business in terms of bettering myself and my family. One day while conversing with a neighbor in which I later found out was a family member, in regards to opening my own business, provided me with some great advice. Shortly afterwards, I began to pray and ask God for direction. God brought to my attention that I would need a partner, and he immediately directed me to ask my cousin Brandon.
Brandon serves as the Vice President of Love Waste Management, and he is truly the mastermind behind the “V” in love in our logo. In terms of how we got to where we are today, I would say by hard-work, dedication, praying, and truly knowing that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. Right now, we do have a few properties that we are currently working with and we are striving to be the Number #1 waste management company in the world.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has definitely been bumpy. Some of the struggles we have faced have been directly speaking with the decision makers in the multi family residential industry. Also, after finally speaking with them, just simply hearing the word “No,” in terms of not being interested. Another opposition we faced would be a lengthy process in order to be in compliance with city standards.
Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
Love Waste Management is a waste and recycling company. We provide door-to-door trash and recycling for multi-family communities, along with junk removal. We specialize in exceeding our customer’s expectations and keeping our communities clean. We are known for going beyond the standard in the waste and recycling industry.
As a company, we are most proud of the journey we have had as young entrepreneurs. Building the company from the ground up and continually watching our vision unfold. If we had to use one word, to sum up what we are most proud of, it would be GROWTH from sampling different logos, shirts, and labels, to becoming more knowledgeable in the waste industry.
Now you asked what sets us apart from others and the first thing that comes to mind is the way in which we use technology to service communities. Of course, in today’s society, everyone uses technology. However, our bins come with unique QR codes. This feature, along with many other features, serves as a tool to assist with communication between ourselves and property management companies. Nevertheless, we stand our motto, “Let the Love Team keep your community clean.”
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We both are natives of Dallas, and honestly, we love everything about Dallas. However, what we least like about our city would be the trash and junk that’s in our city.
