Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaleb Siverly.
Hi Kaleb, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got my start in fitness as an athlete playing sports while I was growing up and that led me to work out for self-improvement. As I got more into weights, I realized I had great genetics for bodybuilding, so I decided to pursue an IFBB pro card as a passion. I missed my pro card by 3 placings last year at NPC North Americans in September. Before I became a trainer and online coach, I worked at Orange Theory Fitness and Trufit. At Trufit, I worked my way up to Fitness Manager, and that was where I learned how to manage a team of trainers and all of the clients underneath them. The corporate gym scene wasn’t a great fit for me due to the sales pressure and lack of passion in the process. Knowing I was unhappy, I left and began a job as the store manager for GNC. I was able to create my own hours, so on the side, I was part owner of a local gym in College Station called MNTL Fitness. I would slowly build my online business and in-person training at MNTL until I was able to leave GNC and become fully self-employed in May of 2021. By that time, I had about 5 years in the fitness industry as a trainer, and I had lofty goals of impacting as many people as possible. I started mentoring under one of the best bodybuilding coaches (and my own coach), Ray Baker, and he changed my outlook on fitness. The attention to detail and health really pushed my service into another realm compared to other trainers, and I started separating myself from the people in College Station. I got married in November 2021 to my wife Audra, and we both decided a move to Dallas would be a big step in the right direction for business growth and personal growth. I stepped back from my ownership of the gym and made a leap to move to McKinney in July 2022 and train at the notorious Destination Dallas amongst some of the best bodybuilders in the world! Now I am established there, and I get to train with my coach as often as I can so I can continue my pursuit of a pro card, all while training my clients in the same gym. I’m so grateful for the growth and opportunity that Dallas presents for me, so I cannot wait to maximize my efforts here!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well, to start, I didn’t have the best set of cards to deal with. Raised by a single mother, we had to struggle the whole time growing up. That made my fire and passion even stronger because I wanted to provide for the future family I wanted. It made me sacrifice all the things a normal 18-22yo kid would do. I didn’t go to college. I didn’t party, drink, or entertain anything that wouldn’t benefit me. There were some highs and lows and moments where I was broken and sleeping in my car or on couches, but now we are comfortable with our two awesome dogs and building a life our future kids can be proud of so they don’t have to struggle as I did. This isn’t even including the discipline of bodybuilding and having to stay on a strict cardio/dieting regiment year-round since 2016
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Siverly Coaching?
I specialize in optimization. My biggest goal for my clients is to produce results without extraneous measures. I have bodybuilding clients and lots of lifestyle clients, so I’m always looking for the biggest area of opportunity to make an impact fast. The faster people feel better, the faster their life gets better. Health is wealth. As far as what sets me apart from others, my attention to detail and passion. I live this life every day with no regrets. I’ve been there and done that and made so many mistakes in building myself up that I know what to look for in others. For my brand, I’m most proud of my relationship with clients and those who follow me. They know me as a down-to-earth person who will go out of his way to make anyone better, whether there is money involved or not. The biggest thing I learned from corporate gyms is service is king. I will go out of my way to make sure a client is taken care of. My programs cover everything from diet, training, supplements, and recovery, as well as daily lifestyle practices to optimize health such as sleep or stress management. I offer to coach for $200 a month, $450 for 4 months, or $1600 a year, which includes the program and 2x a week check-in with communication access to answer any questions or if a client just needs someone to talk to about life. It’s not just a client or money in the bank, each client has an individual circumstance that requires a specific individual approach, so the coach/client relationship has to be great! My in-person prices at Destination Dallas start at $80 an hour and get cheaper as you purchase more sessions in bulk.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
The Bible is mainly the book that I try to live by. Almost to a fault, yet it always comes back around. I listen to and research a lot of different topics from many different experts, such as gut health, foot strength, posture, stress/inflammation, and neurological optimization. All of these things wrapped into one help my clients simply become better functioning humans. That is the end goal for me!
