Today we’d like to introduce you to Kameilla Chambers.
Kameilla, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always wanted to take pictures as a little kid growing up in Oakcliff but I didn’t get my first camera until I moved with my Aunt and uncle in Mesquite. It first started as a hobby because I allowed self-doubt to get in the way. I always thought I was average and with everyone having an iPhone, the need for a photographer was slim. It wasn’t until God sent someone special to inspire to take this seriously. Now I use my camera lens to capture moments that matter the most, whether it is capturing someone’s confidence, that moment you wasn’t expecting, or even the adventure into motherhood. I liked to think my photos will give my clients the opportunity to cherish those moments forever.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing in life is a smooth road. But I like to use some of the obstacles that I faced in life as a push to be better. For a long time, I struggled with my own identity. So often times it was hard for me to be in front of the camera, ironically. With photography being such a huge market and in today’s time, everyone with iPhone feels they can take pictures. It’s definitely a struggle for a photographer like myself to stay ahead.

KW Photography is a photography company. We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone. We love to capture moments without breaking your pockets in return. During the session, we like to create an environment that brings out the best in you. We offer a wide arrange of a session which includes Family, Couples, Maternity, Babies, Portraits, Boudior and more.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The culture. Dallas is always on for the big tall green building downtown ( I’m not even sure if anyone even knows the actual name for the building). I love we can come together in a time of need and help one another.
Homeless; I just feel like more can be done. I guess this subject hits close to home because I have family members that battle this issue everyday.
