Hi Karolina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
So, back in 2021, I had the idea of starting a business, but for some reason or just because it wasn’t the right time, I didn’t do it. That’s when the story of Boxcook Incorporation, my business, began. In 2024, my brother and I decided to start our own business. At first, we thought about doing it separately or just having two separate businesses, but we decided to create this incorporation. So, my brother and I have the incorporation, and we are the two owners. His business is called Photex Incorporation, and mine is Boxcook. The name is somewhat related to food, I know, but it’s something I started with, and it’s the idea I always wanted to have. At first, I focused on making little surprise boxes with pancakes, fruits, and things like that. That was it. But then things changed, and I didn’t focus on food anymore, but the name stayed. So, I kept it that way because now we focus on events like marriage proposals, picnics for the summer, and room decorations, which is a new service we just added.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes, I believe in every business there are obstacles, and honestly, it hasn’t been easy. There have been many moments where I wanted to give up on the business, but it’s all part of the experience. For example, imagine you’re setting up a proposal event, and the weather doesn’t cooperate, it starts raining. You can’t use the outdoor space that you planned and designed so carefully. It can be frustrating and stressful, but through experience, you learn to always have a backup plan, like moving the setup to a covered area. These situations teach you to adapt and grow as an entrepreneur, even though they can be challenging in the moment.

Boxcook Inc. is all about creating memorable experiences through unique picnic setups, proposals, and private elopements. We specialize in custom, minimalistic decor that reflects each client’s personal style. What makes us stand out is our attention to detail and the love we put into every setup, whether it’s a cozy picnic or a romantic proposal.
I’m proud of how we started with just picnics and have grown into offering a range of services, including traveling across the U.S. for proposals. We’ve faced challenges like unpredictable weather and different locations, but we always adapt and make sure the quality of our work shines through.

Something surprising that most people might not know is that Boxcook Inc. actually started with a completely different idea—around food! At first, I was creating small surprise boxes with pancakes and fruit. Over time, I shifted my focus to events like picnics and proposals, and that’s how the business evolved. Even though the name “Boxcook” reflects my original idea, now it’s known for event setups. It’s a reminder of how far the brand has come and how much it’s grown!
